It would'nt be very hard at all for the devs to make a "fog" type weather. I mean, we already have haze, so all they would need to do is thicken it!

Scawen likes doing things right, so fog will come when the rest of the weather comes...

If Scawen adds fog, it's volumetric fog that gets influenced by car turbulence and general track wind. Actually, that may be too simple so the occurance of fog is dependent on air humidity and temperature which is taken from a live weather report of the server location. Better think twice before suggesting something again, if you want to have S2 before the next ice age, that is ;) :D

A simple fog would be cool with a range of selectable view distances so you can set the thickness.

TBH there is no need to go overboard as most GFX cars support fog effects now.

LFS did already have fog in an early dev version. Unfortunately it was removed, because there were some problems with it.

I think the fog uses the same effect now known as "haze", just a lot stronger. With some hex editing of the trackfiles it should be possible to increase the haze so it looks like fog.

I imagin an endurance-race with dynamic fog to be really cool. And it's really not hard to do.

Woah, LFS with fog! Happen to remember or know what kind of problems there were? If they could be solved, hmmm :D

it would be nice if you had a lights on/off toggle too, if only for visibility in other people rear view mirrors (it would also look good).

you never know, this is a hot kitchen and if you want to stand the heat here you need something more than any human body can bear. LFS doesnt need engines fires, theres plenty to get burned by already. :D :pillepall don your racing suit before racing and coming to the forums.

that is a joke but theres a point there.
