I tried to make an account at moneybookers but it wont work.

I am thinking about buying the S2 liscence and was just testing out the payment system before I would make my final decision but now it doesn't work? I already failed last week but it hasn't been fixed this week I guess...

It's not really THAT important for me, just pointing out a bug, for me...I'm still deciding whether to buy S2 or not;) But I think I will:)

Hi, it would help pointing out what exactly won't work - as far as I know, it all works fine, so please explain the problem. Couldn't create an account at Moneybookers? Why not? Is there an error message? Where does it go wrong?

Ok well I make a new account at moneybookers, and I fill everything in but then when I hit the [PAY NOW!] button it says something like

"thank you for your interest in our site, but currently we cant ..."

wait lemme quote...

Thank you for your interest in our site but we are unable to accept your registration at this time

Edit:
Hehe that sounds promising vanirl:p Thats the kind of game I need;)

wow, ok euhm, that's weird yes and I wouldn't know what to do about it.

Best option may be to find a friend or relative with a credit card and willing to help you out in this case.

I know what's wrong, you're probably too young, the site will not let you register when you're younger than 18, just make a little error and be a year older, that's how I did it... Still waiting for the payment tho, at the moment the pound raised in value and I can't pay because my account isn't sufficient at the moment :D And I can't do any banktransfers in the weekend...

Oh thats probably it I filled in 14 december 1989;)

Edit: Ok my mum just paid with her creditcard.
It was pretty confusing for me but I really hope this internet payment works. The payment we did through the bank didn't include an email adress or something where you should the unlock codes to so I hope we didn't pay for nothing.

Hope it all works:) We included some receiver ID (?) or something so I hope thats what says, the unlock paid for, belongs to me:p

OOHHH noo I got some email I dont fully understand but I'm sure something went wrong. Moneybookers calculated the amount in euro I should pay before we filled it into the transferr through the ABN Amro Bank. It was 35,38 euro but now it says something like it couldn't be paid and I should've paid around 2% more?:scared:

Dear Niels Magendans,

You have attempted to make a payment of 24.00 GBP at lfstech@liveforspeed.com 's
website using Moneybookers but your account balance could not cover the payment
amount. We have therefore created a pending Send Money transaction for 35.38 EUR
in your account, which you can look up or cancel any time you like in your
account history.

As soon as you have enough money on your Moneybookers account, we will send the
payment to lfstech@liveforspeed.com.

In order to fund your account, please send the equivalent of 24.00 GBP in EUR
via bank-wire transfer to the following bank account:

*snap*

24.00 GBP equals currently 35.38 EUR. Please note that currencies may fluctuate
and it might therefore happen that a bank transfer of 35.38 EUR to our bank
account would not be enough to cover the pending payment. In order to avoid
this, we suggest that you add to the amount of your bank wire transfer around
2%. You will not lose the money which exceeds the amount needed when the
transfer is executed, since it will be available on your Moneybookers account
for further payments or withdrawals.

What is this?

In plain english, you don't have enough money on your account to accomplish the payment. Add littlebit extra money to the account and off you go :)

It means the value of the British Pound has gone up again, I got the same problem here, I uploaded just enough money to my moneybookers account, and while the transfer was going (few days) the pound lost value, but now when I need to pay, and my money is there, the pound has gotten more expensive again, and I can't pay, tonight I uploaded 1 euro to my moneybookers account, that should be enough, or there has to be an economic disaster going on in England before the value changes that much :D

So you just upload another euro to moneybookers, and you'll be settled. If you still don't understand, contact me and I'll explain in dutch.

(I have a great sence of respect towards people that can't speak other languages and don't understand me, that's why I don't speak dutch here)

Ah ok I'll do that, so far it really seems worth the effort.
I was thinking too, and I clicked "confirm" on moneybookers too.
Now that dont mean a thing, but I think it was to confirm to send the money from my moneybookers account to the liveforspeed adress.

Now the money from my bank might not have arrived on the moneybookers page yet so I could've clicked confirm while there was no money registered at my account yet. It should arrive soon I guess, I think I accepted too early.

But the extra money is send too, I send 1,50 extra just to make sure:) Everything should go fine now...I hope...

not 18, 20, cause I changed my age from 17 to 18 and I could register. I'm going to be 18 this year, so it's not really lying... is it? :Looking_a

About the bank transfers, a bank transfer usually takes a few days, my first transfer to moneybookers took about 3-4 days, I made another transfer today and I'm hoping it'll arrive faster, so I can get that license sent to me! And about being too fast... I made the payment before I confirmed my email address on moneybookers :D But because my confirmation code wouldn't work, I kept trying and it sent me like 5 codes, and I couldn't find which one to use :scratchch

Happy banking, hope it all goes well! :thumb:

I have an other question, it's better to do it in this topic than post it in a new topic...

Can you pay with your mobile phone?
cause my €15,- will expire soon...

GT4Fan

I know it's possible at some sites to pay through the phone but it's not available for LFS yet.

I think it would be a great extra feature though, since many people have phones:p

sgt.flippy
21st February 2006, 15:57
Nope, it's not possible, the only ways you can pay are those that are on the website. And something I just happen to find very odd, when I calculate how much euros a pound is, it says it's for 24 pounds, 35,14 euros, but when I go to my moneybookers and I want to pay, I suddenly need 35,34 euros or something, what's up with that?? Moneybookers shouldn't be charging me, they say it's free, so is this an LFS error?

Personally I wouldn't mind 0,20 but it IS too much...

sgt.flippy
21st February 2006, 19:43
It's not really that I mind paying a few cents more, but it's just not correct. It made me wait another week before purchase because I had to upload more money :Looking_a

The wonder has happend, I needed 2 weeks to get my transfers to moneybookers, because of those few cents I needed, and yesterday the 1 euro transfer happend. Funny thing is: 2 weeks of transferring... money is there, 5 seconds and I had my license!

*****!

I made my mum pay the money to my moneybookers account, but 3rd party deposits arent allowed. Now the money is gone from my mum's bank account but cant arrive at my moneybookers account.

WTF is this how the hell do I get the money back to my mums account? I mailed customer service but I got a suspicion that the service of moneybookers is really bad...

The only option they would give me was to verify the bank account is mine, BUT IT ISN'T. I havent seen any other option besides that one, and now it seems like 35,00 is JUST FRIGGIN GONE!
