Rudy just because he is, and least he talks to me, in IGTC race he was more consistently fast than Bawbag too if I remember. (last round of IGTC.) just my opinion.

Funny how virtually everyone who posted in the thread voted for Jay, but Rudy has way more votes.

I also voted for Jay, but I'm surprised that so few people seem to be going for Ray this year.

DeadWolfBones
1st January 2009, 16:49
Especially since he dominated the nominations.

Maybe because not everyone posts?

I voted for Rudy, and his team probably did aswell, and many other people, maybe you should allow people to see who voted for who.

Did you send in nominations? :scratchch

Gener_AL (UK)
9th January 2009, 14:07
I dont think so.

Just an idea for next time around perhaps here, would it not of been more natural for this to take the top 25 drivers , who have driven the most km/miles over the last twelve months using LFSWorld, and then have a public nominated list also?

No disrespct intended, I guess i just feel its ... a bit "exclusive" this nominating business.

Tomba(FIN)

Tomson(FIN) should be there.. He'd be the best

That's true, but if you're gonna keep on having that attitude to all the polls, then where can we draw the line?
IMO 2 of the best are on this poll, and you won't find better than them this year. Of course that's just my opinion, but I'm sure most will agree with me:thumb:

Anyone could send in nominations, I don't think that's exclusive...

Bawbag
9th January 2009, 15:53
Zockmachine, Rocabiliz, Checkout (He won that BMW remember?) n1lyn, Norbi,

Just a few off the top of my head.

pearcy_2k7
9th January 2009, 16:03
Yeah Zock has been pretty balisticly fast and so has Roca on most occasions but this is what happens when no-one nominates and when they do they just nominate the same person.

Most miles driven is in no way a good metric to determine a group of "best drivers."

I think the nomination process works out quite well if people (*ahem*) actually participate in it. The more nominations we get, the more likely we are to get the consensus best drivers.

Mille Sabords
9th January 2009, 16:10
We have to remember us forumers are in majority slowpokes, joking around here instead of working hard to hack these miliseconds right off the kerbs they belong to.

Therefore our nominations skills are limited, any of the guys up the poll and the ones posted in between would leave me in the dust after T1 - how could I judge from this far? ;)

pearcy_2k7
9th January 2009, 16:15
Can't belive Nolan is beating Rambo (no offence meant) seems a bit mixed up to me, hes a good driver but Rambo is in another league.

DeadWolfBones
9th January 2009, 16:36
I won't argue that Nolan has Jesse beat in terms of enduro or general GTR driving, but Nolan has a versatility that I haven't seen from Jesse (albeit that could be because I only see him in MoE).

pearcy_2k7
9th January 2009, 16:40
Just look at his WR's they range from a variety of different cars and hes fast in all of them. Bah anyway, if i carry on everyone will think im his hoe or something so ill stop :D

although i secretly want to be :\

"Best" driving isnt about that amount you win, personally the best driver is the one able to drive all cars with speed skill and dignity most importantly respect for other drivers.

Well, frankly, what "best driver" means is up to each person who makes a nomination. It's not my job to tell people how they should formulate their opinions. I do know that a completely horrible driver could drive 100,000mi in a year, though.

This applies to all of the 5 nominated drivers if you ask me.

hehe, put all 5 nominated racers on race track and lets count points and laptimes and then we can see, who is the best racer.

BTW: This thread is for your opinion anyway
