View Full Version : here i am to get flamed again
richy

ok so im told if i come post here im going to get flamed.
what the hell, like i care about this game anymore by now..........and no matter what i say here is wrong.
im really beginning to think this game is all about arguing, bickering, and generall being arseholes to each other every night.
i was racing on the noobs server all night, i was told these guys are friendly, fun, and i would be guaranteed a good time there if i go.
so i spent all night racing with them, having fun with them, like 4 or 5 hours straight. it was really good.
so, the evening is drawing to a close and a couple of people are leaving, but obviously theres like 5 or 6 people left on the server including noobs. the race finishes and were hanging around and im clicking restart every 20 seconds waiting.
so i just chill knowing that itll start soon. so, were still hanging around when me and this other noobs club racer go off up the track the wrong way, and i hit this guy called Tweak who is doing some WR or something.
this guy called "I hate this game" starts laying into me, i guess he saw me as a target because of my previous posts here, judging by his username. and obviously he wants to get into Tweaks trousers so he started picking on me.
im guessing this "noobs" server was a trap for me or something.
well it worked, you pissed me off to the point where i come here and do exactly what you said i would do. post on the forums about what happened.
you made me wait ages and never restarted the race, you wound me up to the point i just tried to crash into you and then i got banned.
my experience of the noobs server.
and this game as a whole.
something i am deeply regreting.

I wouldn't take it personally! I guess...
I've always had good experiences
Sounds like you've had some bad luck?

because, thats exactly what i expect from this game.
and yes i am sorry i hit you tweak i was following that guy from [noobs] up the track when you came down the chicane.
and to "i hate this game" well done, i hope you had fun and i hope tweak thinks youre really cool now.
and i bet youre glad im banned off the noobs server, what an acheivement!!!

Actually, there has been ONE time in 3 years or so that I've had a problem, where I bumped a guy from behind accidentally while trying to pass - he went off the line and hit the brakes, and then veered haphazardly back into me. I still said "sorry", he said nothing and voted to ban me anyway. So rather than be involved with someone like that I just left anyway, it's not worth it. Most people are cool to be around but I suppose the donkeys come out sometimes. Just be the bigger person and find somewhere else friendly to race!

i tell you what, i rekon it was the noobs server they had these players on there and they supported them and banned me from it so its ok by them.
they welcomed me, then banned me for the sake of letting tweak hotlap after a race has finished.
why didnt they just tell me to leave because they didnt want to restart the game, why did they let me sit there for 10 minutes clicking shift R?
i think they were trying to provoke me. this is the noobs server. all so welcoming.
god damn i hate this whole place
tell me of a driving game thats like LFS that i can get a demo of.

18th February 2006, 03:05
keep crying and leave then, cause what your saying isnt at all what happened.
If you want to go on a server, wreck everyone and call us ****s again and again because we dont restart the race, and expect to be treated with some respect then maybe lfs isnt the game you should be playing.
richy
18th February 2006, 03:05
oh, and the [noob] that i was following up the track teh wrong way kept very quiet too. then he banned me for wrecking!
cheers!

oh, and the [noob] that i was following up the track teh wrong way kept very quiet too. then he banned me for wrecking!
lol. I banned you after you admitted you wrecked people on purpose. And I didn't follow you up no track.
Please get some help.

18th February 2006, 03:09
no i called "i hate this game" a **** because he asked for it. then i called you all ****s for ganging up on me, just like this game is.
he wanted me banned because i hit tweak when i was following a [noob] up the track after a race finished.
sure, i admit i wrecked. im gonna be a man and admit i was wrecking after a race was finished...
and when you all started trying to make me do a 1 on 1 with "i hate this game", yeah i didnt race then either, im not going to be bullied into racing head to head with someone like that with you all being arseholes.
richy
18th February 2006, 03:10
tell me its not allowable to wreck after a race is finished.
then we can ban everyone.

im really beginning to think this game is all about arguing, bickering, and generall being arseholes to each other every night. There is far too much of that I agree, and the LFS community isn't what it used to be, but it is still one of the best and most helpful communities there is in the online gaming world. Don't be put off by a few non-racing related incidents or racing incidents, you (along with everyone else) will get into arguements while racing whether you want to or not...remember you're on the internet.

It was a pretty weird scene in the [noobs] server tonight, hard to judge. There were a bunch of friends hurling abuse at eachother just for the hell of it, mixed up with a bunch of people I didn't know, and it wasn't always easy to tell who was being serious and who wasn't.
The action on track was pretty brutal too, not much clean racing going on at all, but I just assumed since it was Friday night everybody was kicking back and messing around and not taking it too seriously (although I did see one guy get banned for racing like a wrecker, so the admins were obviously drawing the line at that).
I don't know... Seems like you got banned in pretty weird circumstances. In between races I know I got mauled quite a bit, there was definitely an "anything goes" sort of atmosphere there and I wouldn't have thought that a couple of bumps with people who weren't racing would get you banned.
Anyway I wasn't there, but it sounds like an odd ban situation for that server. I'm sure whoever banned you will be along to tell us why soon enough. You're overreacting again though Richy, calling us all a set of arseholes just because you've had a run-in with a couple of people. You did tell me you'd been drinking earlier, so I'm going to assume you'll be a bit more lucid tomorrow.
One other thing to note, which you might not be aware of: If you collide hard with someone who has a force-feedback wheel, their wheel is going to go apeshit. If that person's stationary and typing or whatever, the wheel is free to spin and will probably bang hard against the end stop. This does bother people a lot, myself included, because it could damage their controller.
richy
18th February 2006, 03:18
no i meant them on the server were arseholes :D well im beginning to think its just everywhere here, i dont think i am ever going to play this game without avoiding agro.
tis a shame

i know you are an admin and im just a new guy so i mean shit to you lot so i know you have loyalties and i know you have rules to stick to thats why i said just ban me, i admit that i wrecked but i did it purely because i was wound up to that point. and i gave up caring about being on the server because you were basically telling me to **** off anyway.
i was being threatened by bans after the first crash (that was about 15-20 minutes after the race finished, AND it was an accident). i was following one of your OWN members too, how about you ban them huh?!?!?! yeah dont worry i know you wont.
so why would i care what actions would get me a ban if i was already being threatened with them?
you call yourself admins yet i get threatened by bans while racing wrong way up the track with one of your OWN members.

Tweaker
18th February 2006, 03:31
So so... here we go
I have to say that everyone was having fun in the [noobs] server, and yes nobody was exactly serious, BUT there still was some good racing. Lots of people were having fun. A few fender benders here and there, but that is normal, it happens.
But the fact that this player Richy was banned, it was obvious, and it wasn't some wrongfully accussed situation. I'll explain... but keep in mind, I was ignoring all of this nonsense in the server for the most part, and this is what I remember.
Basically a race was over, and I was running a good setup I had just made, which easily has the potential to run the world record... or better. After the race was over, I kept running 5 lap stints and was getting closer and closer. But then Richy started driving backwards on the track. And for what I was told, it was because he couldn't get a restart for a new race  Now... its a shame because only like 10 minutes had passed and only about 4 cars were on the track, and everyone was practicing. Practicing in between races happens, sometimes for 10, or even 20 mins straight before a new race starts. The fact that the race was over of course could give you some judgement and think wrecking and having fun is ok to do... but some people, along with myself, were driving the track and practicing. I didn't care much that you hit me head-on for what could've been a world record really, but I guess you got hung up with other players and started arguing.
The reason the ban was started later on was because you start calling everyone c*nts numerous times, and was still showing your agression on the track. EVEN when we did restart, you didn't budge on the grid and there was a big accident. I think there was a few public ban voting attempts, but each time you left before we could complete. So in a way, you wanted to get away from this ban, but kept coming back so you could keep calling us c*nts. Lovely
I honestly think you took this way out of control, and this entire ordeal is totally thrown out of proportion. I was having fun online up until this all happened. But did I go and rant and start calling people names? Not at all, I've learned that doing such a thing online, especially in LFS, is not worth it, and you don't get anything good from it in return.
Maybe you could learn from this, and later on when something similar happens, you could understand and be a bit more polite.
I honestly dislike threads like these, because usually they are created by people that just need to learn from most online issues. It seriously isn't something you should get so worked up over, and the FIRST thing you should've done if you didn't like the server was leave right away. :thumb:

18th February 2006, 03:40
thats why i was trying to be apologetic to you tweak but still, why suddenly run those many laps without restarting without letting anyone know?
the first time i hit you it was a mistake, in the chicane. the other times were on purpose, i had some guy called "i hate this game" winding me up so i didnt really care about your WR setup at that point, you didnt really care about my setup or my racing either did you?
after i was about to be banned why not just leave stop you, and come back and do that? ive had it with this game anyway, thats what you wanted on the server, thats how you get your kicks, so i just gave you what you wanted.
its not as if i ever want to go back to that server again if there is suddenly 20 minutes "tweak WR" practices silently appeared in between our back to back racing!!
richy
18th February 2006, 03:42
yeah the replay would be nice if it showed it from the moment the last race ended...
Tweaker
18th February 2006, 03:47
thats why i was trying to be apologetic to you tweak but still, why suddenly run those many laps without restarting without letting anyone know?
I understand your apologies, but if you want to apologize, just end this deal right now, it's not the game, it's not us, it isn't anyone that is making you hate this
And I really don't need special attention online if I am attempting a world record. If a successful restart happens, oh well, I'll just race. I for one wasn't restarting just because I was focused on my driving for those laps. It doesn't mean I should tell everyone not to restart because I was trying to get a fast lap. That's just absurd! And that ISN'T the reason why a restart didn't happen. Again, get used to practices. If you are impatient for a restart, find another server, or practice also!
I hate to be a part of all this (don't know how or why), because I was just racing online. Now I shouldn't be someone that is the ingredient for your actions at the moment, and that is why I don't want to post in here anymore. Have a good night, and hope to see you on the track again prepared to act mature

richy, i do not know what happened exactly on the server... but:
stfu already, ok?
sometimes it is logicaly impossible to prove who, where and when went wrong and exactly who is to blame for stuff that happens. There will be conflicts. At times where things will go a bit weird with the potential of ending in a flamewar, the most mature person of the bunch, will say something along the lines of "sorry, it was my fault", even though he KNOWS he is not at fault, but is willing to take the minor/major blame JUST SO THE WHOLE ****ING DEAL IS OVER AND SPARE THE PEOPLE FROM THE ENDLESS BICKERING THAT WILL PROBABLY FOLLOW.

I had Chicken Madras. A very nice and strong curry that made my nose run. I love curry, it was the second thing I ordered after spending 5 years in the US. The first thing was the great British fish and chips.
Which is stronger, curry or chilli?

You, son, are an idiot. You come on this forum looking for flames, just begging for sympathy for doing something you know was stupid. You are just a spoiled little baby looking for attention. What's wrong, did your mommy forget to hug you today?
You are bad mouthing a couple of long time LFS drivers, two of the best on the planet. It is obvious that you are the problem, and you are the one keeping yourself from having fun racing.
Please, please, get your money back and buy GTR, rFactor, or an argument from Monty Python. That should keep you busy for a while. Seriously, if you don't adjust YOUR attitude, you will never have fun with this game.

I think it all depends on what the cook puts in it. I think chili has more potential for 'heat' because the guidlines for making it aren't as tight as for curry and chili cooks will put some wild stuff in the pot to give it a little more bang.

Here you go. this is probably more your speed.
http://www.shockwave.com/sw/content/fourwheelfury
After I read this thread I went to that sever. You're right. Those guys are horrible. They were just hitting LOL LOL ROFL!!! over and over for about 10 minutes. when they finally calmed down to explain what was going on, they told me that the deliberately set you up. Yeah, it seems they rented the
server for the last 6 months waiting JUST FOR YOU DUDE! They said they planned this event like 3 years before you were born.
Pretty far fetched huh?
Well here's something that's a little more non fiction. Remember in your other thread what I said about the community being an actual part of the game itself and not just an extension?(probably not) Well you see there are two kinds a people that's names get remembered. Those that try to race clean and fair and those that don't. Do you realise that most server admins come to these here forums and pass the time reading threads like this?
...........................................
How much more of the math do I have to do for you? are you getting the picture?
If you're THAT unhappy with the game, you'd figure the demo would've put you off. But if you really are that put off by LFS we can't really help you.
THat's your thing. But if you think that acting like a jerk online and then logging on and doing more of the same here is going to get you anything

sure i make assumptions based on what went on and what was said but hey i have no proof of it do i. i got told it was a good server to go to, then i go there and get that trick or whatever it is pulled on me, that whole we are practicing rubbish when i drove up the track the wrong way after the race was ended. its like you were all too happy to just ban me for something that was totally unfair.
i know i got pissed off and started to do exactly what i was accused of. why not, you get accused of it, people are going to ban you so why not just do it to them to make it worth the ban? its not as if i want to go back to that server any time soon is it.

i race clean dude. i know the thread is probably too boring to read and stuff thats understandable, but the race was over. it had been for some time...i was just waiting for the next race to start when all this happened because i got in teh way of tweak who was hotlapping without restarting the race, without me knowing this of course.

Richy you've made me curious  how do you behave when someone cuts you off on the motorway? Does it bother you, or do you remain calm and drive on normally? :D
you made me curious on what you mean by that? if you back off when they pass and let them make their pass (like you should) they wont need to cut you off.
i guess it bothers me little as i drive a van anyway and everything is bumper to bumper :D
im not too sure what you mean by that though, i would probably start saying to myself or whoemever is with me, how arsy people can be to people who are doing nowt wrong...

well it leads me back to that other question,
can i still get my money back?
Don't ask for it back, because you haven't put the money to good use in my opinion :zombie: Go back and play online.
You aren't making any sense at all anymore. Just a bunch of malarkey
Stop putting us on a guilt trip, you need to GO TO SLEEP and wake up for another day of LFS online. These decisions you are making are just irrational threats and signs of distress, forget about it all, and don't take it so damn personal!!!
Oh... well you wont take any advice from a very good community here, so maybe you are better off in some other gaming community that really doesn't want to support anybody at all. Trust me, this is not a place to kick people out, or make them feel they need to leave, you can stay... all you have to do is CHILL!!!!!

You need some serious help. How old are you? 12 maybe?
Let's get this straight.
1. You were racing on a server.
2. A race was over and you wanted it to be restarted.
3. Less than half the people on the server wanted it to be restarted.
4. Tweak was practicing but wasn't selfish enough to tell everyone not to restart because it doesn't matter to him despite the fact that he was putting in close-to-WR times. The fact that he didn't want to restart so he didn't vote makes him a c*nt.
5. People wouldn't restart for 10-20minutes so that makes them c*nts too for being so selfish and not considering what you want - if a minority of people on the server want the race restarted, why should it be restarted? Unless of course you are the most important person in the world, right?
6. The race wasn't restarted, and everyone on the server is such a c*nt for not restarting so here's an idea - "LET'S WRECK EVERYONE'S PRACTICE". No, not go to another server and race somewhere else - that's far too sensible and mature. "LET's WRECK. AND TO MAKE IT BETTER, LET'S CALL EVERYONE NAMES. THAT MAKES US MORE MATURE BECAUSE... OH WAIT I'M NOT MAKING ANY SENSE BUT I'M NOT MATURE ENOUGH TO REALISE THAT AND I'M TOO CLOSE MINDED FOR LOGIC TO LEAD ME TO THAT CONCLUSION." Anyone in their right mind would have ban.
7. You nailed Tweak head-on while he was practicing but because it's after a race it doesn't matter, right? Here's a thought - if someone is driving around a track and pushing hard, they might just be trying to practice to get a good time. So I'm sure they'd appreciate being wrecked, right? Tweak didn't even vote to ban you, despite the fact that you wrecked him on a good lap. Hell, if it was me I'd have voted to ban you for sure.
8. Eventually you got banned after asking for it in a million ways by behaving against generally accepted racer etiquette - bad language, wrecking etc.
9. And here at this point you get a real brain-wave and post on the forum and tell the whole community that they really suck with ass-backward arguements and then ask to get flamed, victimise yourself and whenever someone throws a good arguement at you, you just repeat what you said earlier despite the fact that it doesn't make any sense. But its the community's fault, right? Grow up or leave, the community will be better off without people like you.

You know Richy, after your little out burst at me in the other thread about the F keys and stuff I thought I would give you the benifit of the doubt and play nice. Which I did, even shared a hard earned setup with you in teh hope that you would calm down and stop being such an ARSEHOLE about everything. Appears I was wrong.
You know, I have been banned from servers before, a number when I was noobing around driving like a tosser, but I learnt that LFS isn't about being a tosser, it's about racing and enjoying the race. Now, thats how I race. I try to race consideratly and carefully with the understanding that there will always be another (race). But what I have never, ever, ever done is go on a rampage of deliberate wrecking . . . There is never, NEVER, a good reason for deliberatly wrecking someone race. They may have pissed you off, they may have cut you up, they may have taken you off, they may even have insulted your mother, hell at the last count I thought that was racing, but I have never used any of those as a reason to lower myself into the gutter and become a, I can hardly bring myself to use the word. . . . Wrecker.
Do yourself a favour Richy, and everyone else . . **** OFF!! You obvioulsy don't enjoy LFS and you very obviously don't have the mentality to conduct yourself in a right and proper manner . . . So, **** OFF!!
And just so there is no misunderstanding here . . . . F. U. C. K. O. F. F!
My appologies Admin. I shall retreat back into my dark little hole now and comtemplate about the bad words I just used . . . The W one. How could I say it. I am sorry God of LFS. I used the W word. The one that means when peope drive into other people on purpose, like MR Schumaker does. So Sorry . . .

im sure quite a few of us have been bannned/disconnected from a server before, i was once on an FE:Club server, they all drive UF1's, and i took the XRT and drifted, then i swapped to the FXO and overtook them all before clipping one and causing a pile up, im sorry, and that experience put me straight, but i didn't come on this forum because "that idiot in the slower car clipped me and caused a big accident! I want my money back even though ive had almost 2 months of good racing!"
EDIT:Just seen your post! You were driving round the track, dangerous as it is, but generally there are scraps at the end, but normally its not conducted on the track (e.g. on the FM Oval Server, most people ease off and park off the track by the pit out and donut their last 1% of fuel away) you do not do something that could damage somebody else not in your little game, and if you need to take your eyes off the track PULL OVER!!!

If these chaps around here are too mean for you, maybe you should try the teletubbies community.
Seriously, the people here are the nicest and most helpful I've ever seen on the net, and yet you manage to get all enraged over "us" in only a week. You sir, have serious anger problems and maybe a different game, one that lets you relieve your anger like CS or Battlefield, may be better suited for you. I really hope you don't behave like this on the real road, if you already have a drivers license that is.

Well what I mean is that if you remain calm when someone cuts you off or does something else you generally don't like on the motorway, why is it so hard for you to go with the flow on public servers?
You can't force people to behave exactly how you want, they're not computer simulated drivers, their real people :x so some will race for several races in a row then want to chill, which could mean chat or it could mean do a few laps of practise, roll a smoke or any other number of things, so why is it such a problem if a race isn't restarted in the next 5 minutes? If you have limited time and really just want to race, but see that more than 50% of the people aren't in a hurry to restart, just say goodnight to all on that server and go to another server  thats what I do in such situations, I don't kick up a huge fuss over nothing... I agree sometimes it's hard to find servers with people that want to race, but you will find even when people are hotlapping and such, it doesn't always mean they don't want to race but perhaps are just waiting to see what level of racers join the server before they choose to race with them... once you get to know a few people and they know you drive fairly, you will have no trouble whatsoever finding someone to race with :tilt:
Basicly what my point is "if you want to be respected you must first show respect of others"

yeah i was angry because i tried hard all night to have clean races, for hours i was there racing with those guys. and i was even racing in an LX4.... that was tricky to keep clean in the corners but i was pulling it off...

Only a few comments from me for this thread.
Why do some people have to post profanities:( (post #72 omg) IMO it lowers people to the op's level and is unnecessary .
I take it there's no "wrongway kick" set on this server? :) lol
If the Tweaker wanted to make a WR he would have gone offline and done so?...... I dont think Tweak was ever really bothered .
If you can't play nice without calling people names Richy, then maybe multiplayer games are not for you, this goes for anyone who continually spams abuse.
As for this thread and the abundance of posts from you Richy, I can only conclude you are either drunk or just immature ,however thats just how it appears to me!

Richy, I'm assuming you trust me since you've no reason not to. Here's a bit of advice:
If you're new, it's best to keep your nose clean until people get to know you. Otherwise they might misinterpret your actions.
This whole thing of accusing the entire community of victimising you every time you fall out with someone is not going to endear you to anyone, and frankly it's a bit childish. If you honestly think we've all got some secret vendetta against you, then it would be best if you just stop posting and find other people to hang out with.
To suggest that you were lured into a server where people raced with you for hours purely for the purpose of lulling you into a false sense of security so they could ban you later, is preposterous.
Do yourself a favour Richy, and everyone else . . **** OFF!! You obvioulsy don't enjoy LFS and you very obviously don't have the mentality to conduct yourself in a right and proper manner . . . So, **** OFF!!
Do you realise the irony inherent in your own post? Your conduct right there is hardly setting a shining example.

Well then you have seen and learned something very important :tilt: don't be a follower be someone who sets an example of higher standards then you will attract and be attracted to the right sort of racers in the community :shy: and will enjoy your time here much more :thumb: if you just sink to the lowest denominator you want win respect from other racers. I.e. treat others the way you want to be treated and things will go much smoother. Respect and you will be respected, what more could you ask for? :) In situations like you discribe I park on the side of the track awaiting the next restart, if people are just intent on fooling around I'll spectate until the next restart or do some practise driving as I always have room too improve :p Again as you become more well known arround the servers you want find it so hard to get a race :smileypul BTW I don't judge you by how you post :D we don't always type what we are actually wanting to say, sometimes it is from frustration or we've had a tough day, etc. I've been know to be abit brash at times too :shy:
Anyway stick at it, just realise that you want get the greatest racing of your life every time you join a server or every race  but it certainly is worth sticking at it, becasue when you do hit some good racing, there's nothing that can compare with it :D

Well m8 if that's the case it's just a matter of you not really being all that familiar with how things go... some of us have been here for quite some time and have ESP for things like that  don't worry about it so much, just keep connecting, racing with folks and generally keep your nose cleen till you meet and get to know more people :thumb: Like Tweak says take a chill pill, he didn't mean it in a nasty way, he's been here a very long time :D behave like him and you will find yourself well accepted in the community :tilt: My advice is always flow with whats happening in the server (racing certain car, practising, chatting whatever) if it's not what you want say goodnight and find another server that is doing what you want, if you can't find one then try entering an empty one and see if others connect if that fails come back another night...

Your stats show 57 laps with the LX4 and 6 with the FXO.
Of course you would need to restart immediately as you don't need any more practice.

richy...
You do need to act more mature, think before you speak, and be more appreciative to the people who are trying to help you. On a recent thread, several people were trying to help you with something, then on another thread, one guy did a sarcastic comment at you, and maybe i'm misinterpreting it, but it appears that from that, you thought the whole community were bad guys.
Just remember that nearly everyone here would like to help. Don't take it too badly when one or two people give you a hard time, thet does happen a lot online (and in real life as well... it's just easier to do online).
I think most people will be happy to give you a second chance, because you're not really a bad guy, you've just seen some things the wrong way recently.
Please make a fresh start, slow down, realise most people want to help, take care and don't get in people's way on the track, and it will all turn out good. To help you in this, i will now close this thread, because it's not going to go anywhere, it's too ugly now with swearing, etc, and i don't want to discuss it any more.
