Hi, i couldn't find any posts with this, so here i go.

I think that the mirrors need to be bent/crushed/whatever when you hit a wall. Because they now just go through it.

Sorry if this has be posted before.

They do get crushed; I cannot get a pic at the moment, but I have witnessed them get crushed when I roll.

Yes i know, i was on a banger race, and they did bend a bit, but i rolled like 20 times. i mean more when you just touch the wall orso, the mirror should colide with the walls.

Mirrors are usually made of plastic and they just get cracked and broken off.

They do bend, but only if the door gets bent too. I agree they should be able to come off or bend seperately, as it might make people drive a bit more carefully.

Unfortunately, it would make people who are already fairly erratic (and so more likely to scrape a mirror off on a barrier or someone else) even harder to judge as they then couldn't see behind themselves.

Unless we introduce raytracing to the render engine (which is quite gefty to compute in realtime for todays machines, a bent mirror will still show the same image (allthough distorted, if stretched or squashed)

Things like this are for S3. We should focus on getting the engine sounds(?) and a few other features set in concrete before all the nice glitzy stuff is added.
