Offroad Trails Challenge Server

Hey all, just found this great server if you wanna take a break from racing or cruising pop into Offroad Trails Challenge (enter specific host).

The trials are checkpointed runs which are tricky, and require driving skill and concentration, so its not all about speed.

There are many layouts, some are stunt arenas, some are offroad trails, there is even a car football layout (played with UF1).

Youu just need the right set. Get the RB4, use low-psi knobblys, locking diffs and other car thingys to make it grippier.:)

I almost made it around in the RAC (did better than LX4 and RB4 for me :scratchch, easier to twist around), but I had to use the overhead (GTA II) cam for the last bit, because I couldnt see any textures, the backside of a barrier finally kicked me into space

It is really good fun, but the only thing that ruins it the stupid barriers. The weirdest thing is that i find all other layout scenery that you can use in LFS is ok, its just those pain in the ass red and white ones :banghead:

Me and Weed has gone together and made a new team called Offroad Madness.
Why we made that is because we want to get together a couple of people and play and have fun and in the future hopefully more teams will come since it looks like the offroading is really popular :thumb:

We are named: Offroad Madness
And the new server name is: <OM> OFFROAD Server

when online, presuming you have asked the makers permission of course, just press shift+U and then save layout in bottom right of screen.

I just have read the thread to the end as one guy gave me the link. To tell you honestly I got to understand what that guy is from one single thread. I might be a friend of Weed but this has nothing to do with my thoughts. If I were Weed I'd ban him from the server for 999 days and never unban him. Tbh, Tim you and weed had it all(as much as you can have with a team/club) and you failed so now as much as I can explain it to myself I'm thinking that you are jealous what Weed accomplished and you're trying to ruin it so noone has it but to tell the truth.... Nice track around blackwood! I've had a pretty similar idea ages ago, but i scrapped it... Tought it was way too extreme for most people to complete a lap around it. lol Good job though!

No, that is off road trails. You have to have jumps sometimes to get around on the parts of the layout that are not on or directly near the track.

I think it's better if you have one layout per evening and change them daily instead of only driving 20 minutes (at most 5 races) on one layout and changing to the next one before everybody can get familiar with the current layout. IMO.

Is this server still up. I'm a big fan of off road trials (Land Rover driver) so this is the perfect server.

Also, I'm not sure how the rules go as far as Tweak is concerned, but that would be the sweet sweet icing on an already tasty cake, since I've just finished the perfect buggy/4x4 set (chunky tyres, 8.3 V8, lockers all around, long travel suspension) :)

Can you let me know if that's actually allowed on servers at all?

I think it's great, you can even do massive drifts on tarmac, and then go and show off your wheel articulation on the walls of FE rallyX. :D

Also you can't beat watching an AI use up 8 laps worth of fuel in just one and running out before it can pit.
