Can I change username anytime without losing credits? What about those bans does that mean I cannot play online anymore permanently?

No, to change your username, you'll have to buy another licence from scratch
What about those bans does that mean I cannot play online anymore permanently? U can be kicked/banned from a server (voting system), but u still can play on the others

Follow-up questions:
In 3.2 it states that you will initially be able to unlock LFS S2 or later versions 3 times. This allows you to unlock on two computers and keep one spare unlock So my questions are: 1) So everytime I update LFS S2 to higher versions eg. LFS S2 R I have to unlock it again? 2) Can I use Norton Ghost to preserve my LFS S2 status? 3) if I upgrade my hardware other than CPU, Mobo or HD eg. videocard would it affect my LFS S2 status? 4) Would I still able to recover S2 license if my account has been stolen?
Regarding bans, I read somewhere in the manual which states that when a licensed LFS S2 user is banned it is the account that is banned so that would mean being permanent despite changing IP address? Regarding game hosting if I host a game from my PC that would mean my IP address would appear in LFS server list for others to join?

No, you don't have to unlock for a patch upgrade. Just when you reinstall Windows, etc.
In the beginning you'll have three unlocks, once you go below 2 unlocks, you'll automatically get an extra one each month, up to the max of 2 unlocks.
Bans are much less severe than you make them out to be. If you get banned from a server via voteban, that one will last for 24 hours only. After that time you can rejoin the server. If an admin bans you though, that's really up to his mercy, so your ban could range from 5 minutes to permaban.
Also, no changing IP wouldn't do a damn thing, your account is banned from the server, not your name/IP.

Actually in the demo, it IS your IP that is banned. But only from that server, and not all of them.
An admin is able to ban you for any amount of time, but vote bans (as Android said) last 24 hours.
