Which one? I have S1_H demo, S2_05K demo, S2_05L demo, S2_05P2 and S2_05Q. For the current running patch Q, I have 1.24 G in 3727 files. Total I have 2.3 G and 8319 files (all LFS versions on 2 computers). That doesn't include my download and archive folder with all my skin creating files and stuff that is also 1.03 G and 1007 files. I keep all the old S2 patches because I have replays and was wanting to do something with them, but never did.

S1, S2, a seperate directory of S2 for mecanik (so i dont have to switch between patches every time) uhm...theirs some other folders in their, but they dont take up much space. lol, ill look later today and see whats taking up all that space :D

I was thinking the exact same thing. I know some who says their FS2004 folders were 20 or 30 Gb's. Mine was up to 5 or 6 until I got the new computer. Haven't done anything other than standard install of FS2004 yet.

My FS2004 had its own 30 GB partition and maybe 3 or 4 GB unused. I downloaded a lot over the years ... The terra mesh files were really big and the addon aircrafts too.

Now it´s back to 7,8 GB since i reinstalled like 2 months ago and there´s not much really.

My LFS folder is 358 MB - cute :)

The skins_x folder set me off thinking, actually. At one time I worried about the size of this folder. Now I can pick up a 300Gb drive for the same price as a moderate face-stuff at a not-too-posh restaurant.

Also, when I first got LFS (still less than a year ago), I had a 1Mbit internet connection at home. Now I have a 10Mbit connection at home. All of my friends' connections are headed the same way. Bandwidth is getting cheaper and cheaper as time passes.

I wonder if one of the new features might be the OPTION to download 1024x1024 resolution skins_x. That would be really nice! Especially for those of us who like taking screenshots and movies. Fingers crossed!

Well I was going through my hard drive, deleting old shit, trying to make room, and just general cleaning. I came across my LFS installs and realized just how small of a game LFS really is. The installer is only 120MB iirc, and once unpacked and used (skins, layouts, textures, replays) it doesn't get too big. Mine only weighed in at 381MB! :smileypul Anybody dare set the bar higher? :D:razz:

yeah its similar with other games...
best example - Enemy Territory.
while the basic install is only 250 MB it can grow like nothing.
before i cleaned up last time it had well over 6 GB... (maps, mods ect...).
in lfs the skins make the most size, although one piece may not be big, thousands of them can be.
i deleted one time my skins_x folder (well, the files inside) and cleaned up almost 1,5 GB that way...
not even talking about all the addons that are availble.

Actually, none are movies. :smileypul But there are tons of psd's in there, many layered files for 100's of dds textures- and sometimes 20/30 versions for a single texture. That's what's taking up all the space.

Really should get around to cleaning all that up :scratchch

45Gigs is a fairly round number. I've only got about 40gigs on my computer (space is an issue) but I've got a couple spindles of burnt mp3/wma files on DVD and CD.

Thats not really owned...if I had a big enough harddrive I'd probably have about that much music on it. All my 'older' music (stuff I'm not listening to this month) I just burn. That way if my HD fails (which it should soon) I won't be f*cked over. :)
