Strange thing happened - Gearbox

Hi guys,
Dont quite know if this is in the right section or if its been metioned before, during an online race tonight my car went from 5th gear to 2nd with one press of the button, which led to my car dying. I tryed pressing the buttons again to see if it would jump down the gears, but they worked fine - though the car would not restart, tryed several time by pressing ignition key, but noting at all.

it happens on lap 3, about 3mins 30~, FXO Gtr, and I'm JORDAN IRL

My control setup is a XBOX 1 gamepad, but it has the latest drivers installed

The engine blew.
Don't know how it jumped down gears though :scratchch.

To cater for people using H-shifters, you can assign each gear to a seperate key/button. Check that you haven't got 2nd gear (or any other gears, for that matter) assigned to one of your pad buttons.

thanks for the advise, but i checked over all the buttons and nothing. Im blaming my dodgy wiring in my PC modded Xbox controller - I think its near wrecked as the steering stick has got extremly jumpy -> slight movement = full lock, so jus gonna buy a proper one
