I'm looking to get a new, bigger hdd.

This is my current motherboard:

I am considering getting the following hdd which is sata300 but i don't think my mobo supports sata300, only sata100 and sata150, but i am not sure. Is there any real difference in performance between 150mbps and 300mbps sata?

Also what there only seems to be small differences between the DiamondMax drive i linked to above and this one below. Anyone know if any differences are significant?

I don't think my motherboard can supports sata300 and if the performance advantage over sata150 is negligable i will probably get a sata150 version of the same hdd as above, probably not from dabs though.

Oh good i think i will pay a few extra quid and get a sata300 drive then so that when i upgrade the rest of my box i can use it at sata300.

Thanks.

Sata 150 or 300 doesn't matter in real life.. its like fitting a speedometer dial that goes to 500km/h in the cars in LFS.. They just don't reach it no matter what the dial goes up to..
