can someone or some people help me to build a h-pattern shifter i have about $50 and i have knex and shit like that thanks in advance:)

Why not?... Some people made a cockpit from pvc elements...:shrug:

This won't be easy anyway ....

Go for it. I cant remember who it was but they built a clutch pedal out of lego.

on another note, i also made a drum kit to go over a keyboard, and a foot pedal from knex, the footpedal would work as a clutch to :) A shifter would be hard, infact probly near impossible from knex. You could have a siquential shifter, not a 5/6speed one :)

I've actualy considered this myself.

I say go for it, you need something like an 8 button game pad.

You could solder the contacts onto the button locations on the game pad, it would work pretty well.

The only thing you have to worry about is making the knex part strong enough. Just make sure you make as many X shaped sections as possible, this way everything will be strong.
