Nobody in the server see my skin

Hi everybody, I'm new here.
I am playing the demo, and enjoying every lap... I'm almost convinced to buy a license!

But I have a few issues, my first one goes to the skins:

- I have worked hard on a skin, and now only I can see it when I join a server, as the other pilots see my car all white...
I have also noticed some messages saying something like this: "...could not load xxxxxx skin..." that I suppose are other player's skins, so I can't see them as well...

Can someone please tell me how to correct this problem?!

I really like things to be the most close to perfect as possible, and would really like to race seeing other people's skins and them to see mine... (It makes it look like a true racing day environment...)

The Auto-Skin Download feature does not work in the Demo. You need to have a license to use this feature. Basically, when you are licensed, you goto LFSWorld.net and upload your skins to your perosonal 'garage'. Then when you go online, people will download it and see it. Like magic :D

For demo players, BOTH players need to have the SAME skin in the skins folder. (LFS/data/skins). So usually you'd have to send them the skin manually somehow (email, chat, etc) in order for them to see it.

With an S2 Licence LFS automatically downloads other peoples setups if they have put them on LFS World. You would need to put yours on there too for others to see it.

In the demo the only way is to manually get their skins via email, MSN or some other way and pop them into your skins_x folder (skins_x for other peoples skins, skins folder for your own).

Normally people would reply to that great decision (for wanting to buy the game) and say:

"Prepare to end your social life and only play LFS" --- :rolleyes:

Well it can be true :) But don't get the wrong idea, it is more like (in my words)... Prepare to be a part of a community and a great game, and that money will be well spent, and worth every penny. :D Good news, have fun, and I'll see you and your skin on the track :tilt: :up:
