I was just wondering because everyone seems to act like they own this forum. Are there admins that run this?

Let's make a contest: The user who posts the most in the next 30 days will be promoted to a moderator! \:D/
Or what do you think?

Make Tristan a moderator?
I personally think you all give Tristan a hard time...but I'm a team-mate so my opinion will be judged bias or bum licking. Which I can assure you isn't the case.

because everyone seems to act like they own this forum.
Can you show an example of this please? All I see is people having a good time, hardcore debates, and everyone helping each other. :)

Ive seen it many times, my first experience here a year ago (approx) was a bad one cos i asked a "noob" question. But all you need to do is to read some of the stupid threads on here to see that.

Actually with Tristan away someone else could take the crown... :scratchch
However moderators need to make good posts and strategic decisions, not just beat users into submission with a barrage of text. Although that technique could be effective in some circumstances. Anyway, we're not really giving Tristan a hard time, it's the much loved British past time of piss taking and winding up.

In all fairness, i've always thought he'd make a good moderator, i myself
was once a post wh0re...:D Once given the responsibility, i've changed my
tone quite a bit. It doesn't keep me from expressing my opinions, but i'm much
more patient and constructive than i once was. Focusing all that energy can
often give positive results.

I dunno. I wouldn't want to be a moderator. too much going thru stuff I imagine. But since LFS has it's own forums and not part of RSC (thank the Lord) it is much better. Some a them ppl over there... I dunno.
THe mods here are really doing a good job with things I think.
LOL, the mods BETTER behave here - if they wanna race online...
MUHAHAHAH.
Really though, I think a few other forums I been to could learn alot on how to moderate from these guys. Also, it seems to me that most of us that post here try to do a good job moderating ourselves before hand.
And come to think of it, for as competitive as LFS is, Every one sure is helpful :)

Heh, don't give Tristan the opportunity to spam the admin/mods private forum as well. At least you have an escape there! ;)

Tristan IMHO is a great guy. 1 in a million ( and according to his posting stats, bloody good job too ROFL)
I have a lot of respect for Tris, as he provided T7R birthday with the biggest laugh of the weekend, then done it again at the Karting weekend. Never short of "providing" laughs this guy ;)
But on a serious note, I have a lot of respect for Tris. Dedicated YES, argumentative, Better beleive it, Great fun, The best :thumb:

.Reading this thread, I was thinking NOOOOOOooooooooo, then the suggestion of moderation, and again I think nooooooo (cos a/ I don't want the responsibility, and b. I have a tendancy to be slightly harsher with silly questions/suggestions that a mod should, so I respectfully decline for now :p), but then it turned into a nice thread, so :D

Yeah okay. I'll expect two cheques from Kev and shim to fund it. We can call it the "Stop Tristan Posting Fund", although my rates aren't cheap :p
