help with skins

hi i hav downloaded several skins and put them in the dds folder like it sais but for sum reason they do not cum up in tha game.. how do i access these skins?sry 2 be a noob

the DDS folder is for textures (like track and sign textures for example)

Your skins go in the skins folder. If you put skins in here, you can use them and select them in the garage by making a new skin profile for the car and then click on the Colours button below to choose the skin filename.

If you download someone elses skin (like a private team skin which you wouldn't use), you would place them in your skins_x folder.
