So to put it to good use id prefer to have a few good games, rather than 1 sole purpose (LFS), what other good racing games are there?

Lots of games, like rFactor, GTL, GTR, GPL, NR2003, but only one sim, LFS :D :D :D
Sersiously (I was already), get rFactor and GTL if you have to get other racing games.

Although I kinda understand where you're coming from, I bought my wheel for LFS, in stead of the other way round :tilt:.
LFS is enough for me at the time. Hell, there are some tracks I have never even really driven (FE Everything except Club, Kyoto GP, ...) and I've been at it for a good half year now.
Anyhoo, what Tristan said sounds logical. They're the games LFS is compared to most often. If you really want some variation, get Richard Burns Rally. It's rather old so cheap, but I hear it's the best rally sim around.

Yes, GTL and GTR are both by Simbin. Just watch out for the horrible netcode, poor customer service and the requirement to have a massive gfx card.

AFAIK there's no demo of rFactor (yet). The only thing somewhat resembling a demo is the "Multiplayer Test" which was released for, duh, testing multiplayer capabilities. It's very old but I heard some players say the physics are quite similar to the current version, although I cannot verify this.
Right now the only way to test it is to buy it and then go for a refund (which you have to do pretty quickly, 48h IIRC?).

RBR has a easy job to be the best rally sim because it's practically the only one in it's category. (Rally Trophy gets close though.) But I think if there were other rally sims RBR would still be the best. :)

LFS and RBR are a great combination.:thumb:Try downloading it and the crack, you can't play online, but you can see how much it sucks, compared to this, before you waste your money on it :) I'm not saying it's good to crack anything, and well if I liked it I would have bought it for sure.

Another vote for Richard Burns Rally here. Superb game! It has a steep learning curve but once you accept that you will drive faster by not pushing so hard and learn not to fight the car, driving the stages becomes a real adrenalin rush.
