Currently running a demo server with BL2R / XFG Only
Question is this...WR = 1.11.20
Are sub 11 second times possible without Mechanik eg 1.10.55 is the lowest I've personally seen and recorded with LFS Lapper. I think the top 25 XFGer's are all sub 11.00
Comments please...

I guess they are indeed possible because 1) no WR lap is unbeatable and 2) in normal racing you are allowed to go to places that would invalidate the lap in hotlap mode.
Also, mechanik "cheats" are easy to identify because the replays of them will go OOS if you try to view it from a non-mechanik altered LFS.

I'm aware of the limitations of Mechanik in Single Player / Hot Lap mode and the OOS'd replays etc.
In Multiplayer however "supposing" it were possible to mechanically alter the vehicles to achieve dubious laptimes, how would you spot it? Other than asking the driver in question to send his replay?
What would you guys consider reasonable and what would you find unacceptable / suspect?
Cheers

You have to be using the same settings as the server or something online so you wouldn't be able to use mecanik on your own.
Edit: I used to race a bit of Blackwood RallyX Reverse (think that's what you are talking about?) and you can cut off that whole bit of gravel on the right in the first corner, people gain a lot of time that way. I don't like that at all though.

Bah, who cares about singleplayer hotlaps in an Online Racing Simulator anyway? I sure don't. ;)
