I have found a new sponsor for Gentlefoot.com. I will be launching the 'Gentlefoot Gecko Challenge' in the coming months.
The winner will receive a Gecko Suspension kit for their road car worth between £400 - £800!
See http://www.geckosuspension.co.uk/ for more information about the prize.
Further details will be published soon. Post here if you are interested.

They are developing kits for more cars as we speak. By the time the league is launched there should be a few more cars on the list.
Also, I think they can develop kits for cars on request but I would have to check that.

Nice one, but...
I don't live in the UK
I don't own a car. So if I participated should I try not to win?

I don't own a car.
Neither do I :D
But I might in the future, and I have friends, who have parents/friends :tilt:
Not that I'm going to win anyway :smileypul

I need to check with my sponsor whether or not the kit is available to non UK residents. I don't see any reason why it can't be shipped. Who pays for the shipping is a question I need to ask.
For those who don't have a car then why not enter anyway. Only 1 person will win this event but it will be run with the usual controls and judicial that all the Gentlefoot.com events have been. This means you will have great racing anyway and this is the only thing that has attracted drivers to the Gentlefoot.com events in the past.

Since you've picked up a sponsor, you going to back off the ads on the site?
7 flash ads + google text ads is a bit much, and basically means that I turn on adblock and deny you of any impressions...where normally I would keep it on and usually click a couple just to help out...

Which page did you go to? I only have 3 adsense units and 3 link ads on any page unless I forgot to remove some old referrals.
EDIT: I had missed some pages.

Pfft for a suspension kit like that he'll have quite some competition. (even I'd be practicing day and night to get to his level but I wouldn't disapoint for a suspension kit I can sell on ebay for what? 500$?)

That's a pretty sweet deal. If I thought I had a hope of winning or had a working wheel I'd enter :)

The details of this event are beginning to take shape. Over the next couple of weeks I will put together a page on gentlefoot.com with all the details and a calendar.
There may even be two competitions now with a kit as the prize for each :)
