I'm looking for a wheel and these two wheels caught my attention. Both are Logitech.
Driving Force Pro or Momo Force Red
Which one do you think is better? I am wondering why so many people are choosing Driving Force Pro.

Everyone chooses The Driving force pro (DFP) because of it's 900 degree steering lock. It's 1 3 turns lock to lock, and the feel of it is amazing. I reccomend it for you + anyone else who has a wheel in mind. :) Good stuff.

IMO the shift paddles on the momo are far better than the ones on the DFP but the DFP has the stick shifter many more buttons and the varable degree full lock up to 900 ,so has more features . the FF on both wheels is similar but again IMO not the same, I like the ff better on the momo's and of course the real handstiched leather wheel on the red just feels great ;)
Momo Force (red) wins for me those big alu shifters are the nuts :D
I recomend the squashball mod to anyone who has one .

momo red here for 3 years...
played with a 2 month old dfp and besides feeling plastic, it was already closer to the grave than my 3y old wheel. of coz it depends on usage but i wouldnt change one for the other.
however the dfp is a lot cheaper and works for the ps2 gt4, enthusia etc...

Are you really talking about the Momo Force Red or the black Momo Racing? There's a big difference. The red on is no longer manufactured and from what I hear, is the one to get. It is constructed superbly compared to Logitech's current offerings. It is also more expensive to get a hold of used on e-bay. There is one up right now for $187. If the one you're talking about is new, then that is the Momo Racing. For new, the DFP and Momo Racing are both good. It depends on the features you want. Like it's said up there ^^, the DFP has 900 ° rotation, but the paddle "buttons" behind the wheel stink. The Momo Racing is only 240° rotation, but the paddle shifters are superior to the DFP. Both have a sequential gear selector which I prefer over paddle shifting. I have a Momo Racing and love it. Others have the Momo and love it. Still others have a DFP and love it. If I was to replace mine, I'd probably go with a DFP for the 900° rotation since I use the gear shifter. But if I couldn't get a DFP, I'd get another Momo as well. One thing you will read in the forum here is, many people have posted problems with their pedal sets (poor manufacturing/design on Logitech's part), but they are simple to fix. I've fixed mine and haven't had a problem since. If under warrantee, Logitech has sent many here a new set, so they fixed the old set and used it as a clutch or spare.

I think he's talking about the famous red one. Why would he say "Red" if he meant black MOMO? :D
Because the red MOMO is not manufactured anymore it's probably pretty impossible to find a new wheel. Used ones still costs quite much but sure it is really worth of the value.

every once in a while a new one comes up on ebay. i got a new momo red about 6 months ago for about $50 less than the used ones go for. the guy didn't label his advertisment with "red" and he didn't put a picture unles you went right to his add. i think everyone passed it by assuming it was a momo black.
as for the best wheel, i still wish i had my original logitech formula force. to me it felt better than the momo red.
when i go to make a quick coutersteer with the momo red you can hear the gears inside and feel the resistance. the formula force responded to quick movements better with it's steel cables. too bad one of my cables snapped.
as for any other options, everything i've felt in the stores felt like a plastic piece of junk.

FWIW I've been using the black for 3+ years of pretty much daily use most of the time. It still feels as solid and sturdy as day 1, and it's strong as heck if you want it to be. The pedals were goofy until I downloaded Logitechs software fix, and since then they've been rock solid
Highly recommend this wheel to anyone.
