no rubber! [solved]

I upgraded a couple of weeks ago,popped my old HD in new pc unlocked LFS, no problems Except that my racing lines were all gone.I tried update player car only,update all cars and turned up the rubber lay and rubber dark,still no joy anybody any tips?

Hmm, try to reinstall LFS (in a different folder)? Let the AI drive a few laps and look if the race line appears again. If it works you can try to copy folder after folder (from "data" directory) over the new installation and as a last step the various *cfg.txt files of the LFS main directory.

In this way you'll preserve all settings and also get the racing line back (maybe).

Otherwise, I dunno, never heard of such a problem before :shrug:

Thanks for the help.Android I,d rather leave reinstalling as long as possible sorta last resort stuff for me anyway.deggis im on 5.12 i,ll rollback to 5.11
which I was useing on last pc.thx for the tips and I,ll post back later

You better change to 5.11 anyway (altough it may not solve that invisible rubber problem) because 5.12 and 5.13 really sucks with LFS. With them you should get a major FPS drop.

Oh well ok, but "reinstalling" would be a five minute job, or 10 at most, if your PC is slow at unzipping :)

I think that's another thing which makes LFS so great. No actual "install" needed. Just unpack the .zip somewhere and get going. No uninstalling needed either, just delete the LFS folder.

I reinstalled, seems to have fixed the problem thx again
