Hi there, at biggining sorry if this is a repost, but i could not find the right topic for me.. :shy:

Now Iam running P4C HT 3.0 @ 3.3 Ghz, 512MB of Mushkins and Highly OC radeon 9800. Now Iam upgrading my LCD, for a 21.3" and it has native res. 1600x1200, and Iam upgrading my memory system for 2GB corsairs (maybe mushking and corsairs will work fine, and i will get 2.6 GB...)

My question is, if my system with r9800 will be able to play LFS in 1600x1200 and minimum 2x / 4x AA / AF ? (thats mean, what FPS i get) Today Iam ok about 50-120 FPS, thats fine, but what with 1600x1200? I cannot try this, because I have not any display there, which can display that res.

Has anybody there similar system to compare? Thanks for replyies :lfs:

I tested LFS in 1280x960x32, 2xAA, 4xAF and it caused perf. loss about 4-5 FPS in comparsion with 1024x768 no AA,AF on my GF6600GT. I cannot test 1600x1200 due to my monitor;)
R9800 has a little more powerful VS unit and a 256bit Vmemory bus as far as I know, so it should be able to run it good.
I suggest you can get 35-40 FPS instead 50, what is still enough....

BTW, there shouldn't be any reason(except different timings) why Mushkins and Corsairs have to work incorrectly.....

thank you for the reply, so I will not upgrade my VGA since I have my new LCD, and then if FPS will be low, I will have to upgrade..

BTW, pozdravuju do stejneho mesta ;)

I've done another test today(was heavily bored). 8xSupersample AA and 16x AF 1280x960x32. My 6600GT didn't feel overloaded, only change I've noticed in benchmark was minimal FPS drop from 30 to 27.2(what an significant change:)). So don't worry about FPS, Your Radeons 256bit m-bus should manage it without any major perf. penalties...

Hehehehehehe.....:tilt:
