Yes!

More than before, because all the now sad drifters who want to continue drifting will get S2. Actually I already saw a lot of long time demo users finally registering lately.

The XRT has not been taken away. It's just not a demo car any more. The purpose of a demo is to give people a taste of what is in the full version. I know you've had a lot of fun out of the XRT, so I think it's fair to assume that you will now be ready to buy the game. Right? If not, then obviously you never were going to buy it. LFS is a business and what you get without buying it is a demo. It is not freeware.

I know lots of drifters and they're very happily racing the XRT right now. You're coming from a Demo point of view, not a Drifter point of view.

well, i have just thought about what im about to type in here, and its is this.
Live for speed has been a Huge part of my gaming experience since it first came out as the s1 demo, since the s1 days i have bought about 12 license`s and only ever kept 2 for my self, thats probably over $1000 au all up just in vouchers, now you might say well thats cool what am i on about then>? well its come to my attention the demo has been banned for xrt users of servers, now this is fine its just the demo and you can still drive s2 x10 because thats my favorite version and i can drive all cars and tracks, but there is no one in the s2 servers, i hope people who read this join the motion and buy a license if your a drifter get x10 its the best version for drifting.
but play in the actual s2 servers as you should. all these racer/ricer people thats fine they can play there new version, but i dont like rev limiters and rubbish they have added its too much like any other game now so ill stick with x10 thanks, and x10 i can drive how i wish with no limitations. And comments that are negative against this message i will not care i have said my part and its a honest opinion and i have my reasons to play x10, so keep negative comments to your self and have a constructive comment thats intelligent and no downing on me or other drifters alike. as i said im only talking about payed for users here ones with a license, ones who dont should buy one. its not good a demo user complaining in a forum if they are not going to buy the game.

Uhh, not to put this against you in any way as I have Drifter in my name too, BUT, LFS needs to get more real, and getting real also means adding clutch temp, and engine stalls. Just drift well if you dont want it to stall. I use clutch so I dont stall as often. But Yeah. Lfs needs to get real'er. It very real but some work can be done.

Oh F**k me!
I myself went to a demo server yesterday to see why everyone is complaining about having no XRT. Seriously, you guys need to get over it, the XRG Is MORE then enough to slide around, it's actually alot more then the the XRT. If you feel the need to drive the XRT because your skills are too shotty to not control onto the XRG, BUY S2!

Yes it does need to get real`er as you announced, but in that fact the new clutch burn and tyre wear and rev limitation, on the xrt in the new version is far from what i like in the old xrt car. you know your rev limitations when driving, i dont need a limiter to tell me when ive revved the engine too hard, or a over-exaggerated clutch burn. even in a real car the clutch does not burn out as fast as the xrt in the new version, and as for stalling the car thats up to you if you dont clutch properly. my point is that the x10 version is more suited to us drifters who like to drive the manual with he g25 and blip gears, double clutch or use the clutch and engine to break, even in a real car the clutch would last about 3 months of heavy use, adding effects like gravel on edges of the road and lumpy bumpy side edges or eroded side road on part of warn track would be good and the new ripple strips i dont like on the new version it makes it too easy to take a corner, with there rolled edges, infact i like the old s1 blackwood track better then the current versions, if there was options in the new lfs y patch to turn the rev limiter off and have a drifters set of tyres available, it would be good, but x10 is as far as i go.

yes some people cant controll hardly any car, and the xrg does go rather well, untill they added the Rev limiter it feels terrible and some shotty drivers cant handle the xrt, yes more people should buy the game and yes the complaining demo users should get of there rumps and buy, thats what im trying to say then us drifters can have a game version to our selves x10 maybe and then y patch would be free of drifters unless you like the rev limiter and crazy exaggerated clutch burn and tyre wear.

I'm a drifter and racer, was more oriented towards the drifting when Patch Y was first released and the clutch heat and rev limiter didn't bother me at all so you must be doing something wrong. The only thing that bothered me was the tires but just learn to control it. If you cant control those hot slippery tires then you gotta start thinking of whether or not you do have skill. Patch Y has never bothered my drifting.
As for the XRT being removed, the XRG is quite fun to drift anyways. Not long ago was going around with some people on demo servers to drift. It's fun as long as the server is free of wreckers. But the car itself is awesome.

evilpimp, there is no need to tell me to try to learn to drift in the Y patch or try to control it or what ever you think, i dont stall the car, and i do drive in Y PATCH for racing, drifting in Y patch however is not as fun as x10, an as im saying Patch Y is trying to get more realistic with its physics, but by adding a rev-limiter to the first few cars is in my opinion a failure, its like grabbing a datsun 180b or a ford falcon xf and then adding a rev-limiter to it so you cant control how you rev the the fact is that realism comes as you control the car to how you feel fit, adding blocks to things you should control to me thats lame, and this is now starting to get to a debate and losing its path on what the topic as actually about, instead now your leaning more about driving skills in y patch,... when its not that at all.
i like x10 and thats what im sticking with for drift, yes i can drift in Y patch but 100% less fun when the tires dont last as long.
anyone else? got a thought? it doesnt worry me i will answer them. as im here to stand up to what i like in a driving game.

Yay, another lets complain about XRT topic... Glad to hear its finally truely gone, and no Patch Y drifting is not hard, very simple to not burn the clutch, and the rev limiter . . . you don't need the extra revs, drifting or racing, its beyond the power band which is what you need to focus on!

If I understande this right, they have banned the XRT from the demos? In that case it's good, they get a taste with the XRG, and then they are ready for the XRT if they buy s2 ... :)

well its as simple as this
1. go to www.lfs.net (http://www.lfs.net)
2. read the terms and condition to owning a liecence
3. buy an s2 liecence
4. Win and profit!!!!
simple! or if you have any other "evil" ways go ahead and burn in hell.

Whether or not you stay a demo user is entirely up to you. I don't even want you to buy an LFS licence if you don't want one. There's nothing worse than going on vacation with a bunch of little kids who don't want to go. They're always whingy and say everything is "gay".. and it's really irritating to us adults when they do that. But when they're your kids, you can't just call them "num nuts" because that's childish. You can't even give them a good hiding these days, even though everybody knows they really need it.
The demo has 3 cars. In order to put the FBM into the demo, they had to take one other car out. They took out the XRT because giving away two powerful cars in the demo does not make good business sense. LFS needs income to pay for servers to deliver things like skin downloads, LFSW etc. They stopped allowing patch X servers because LFS is better than that version, now, and it just doesn't make sense to promote an inferior version. That's just how it is.

I acutally have to say. The XRT being removed from the demo was a great idea. If you goto the demo now, You acutally see people racing. Serious races too. I was acutally shocked when I last went in a demo server. Step in the right direction IMO. :)
Seen as X is blocked, Go download patch Y. Race!

Patch X servers are back on the master server. Turns out to have been a hiccup, rather than blocking the hosts deliberately. I'm going to close up here, since the problem is fixed :)
