Hiyas! I know how to get pitspotter to start with Join2LFS but when I join, PS starts as does LFS, but LFS goes to the main screen where you select playing mode. I have added a 10 second delay on LFS start but no luck! Any help?
Thanks,
Vette

Pitspotter starts LFS automagically. This means that LFS2Join cannot pass the join argument to LFS as its already running.
In short, as far as I am aware, you cannot run PitSpotter and use LFS2Join.

Pitspotter is an InSim app which talks to LFS, and acts like a pit spotter would in real life. It "announces" to you when another racer has come up on your right / left, and lets you know when they're out of range and you're safe. Check it out here (http://koti.mbnet.fi/kegetys/lfs/).

Ok I figured that might be the problem so I went into the PS config file and disabled LFS autorun. Sadly still no luck! Ahh well thanks for the reply
address=127.0.0.1
destPort=29999
srcPort=30000
adminPass=
autoReconnectOnRestart=1
autorunLFS=0 <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< No luck!
LFSpath=LFS.exe
PS starts and LFS starts but PS can't connect to LFS.
Thanks again,
Vette

Hang on. Try setting the InSim port, in LFS2Join settings, to the same as the destPort in spotter/config.cfg. Also set the delay to 0.
Hopefully PS can cope with this tiny tiny delay, and it *may* work. Unfortunately I tend to forget some of the options of LFS2Join as I dont use it, so I really cant say if this will work.

Well thanks for the try but that doesn't work either! I tried everything I could think of and NO Go! I guess I won't use it either.........

I am using PitSpotter with LFSJoin and it works fine:
1. in spotter config - autorunLFS=0
2. in LFSJoin enter InSim port 29999 and add application LFSspotter.exe without pass parameters

Now that is slick! I had done everything as above but had left the port at 30000, the port PS uses. I am still not smart enough to know why you need to change the port to 29999. Thank you very much sir! Great Job!

It's where PitSpotter tries to connect to... If you wish, you can set the port to any other port (although not 30000, I guess), then you have to change the port of Join2LfS accordingly... ;)

OK! So know that I have this sorted, it also dawns on me what AA was trying to say....there is really no reason for LFSWorld as the ingame features are the same. LFS World is a left over from S1?
Thanks so much for the help but I now know how to look for a specific car/race ingame.
