lol I have to complain about those gammy tyre walls...that's the second time this series one came up and hit me in the face

30th March 2008, 18:59
Well, what a race :D
Lap 1: 7th to 1st (I laughed so much i nearly crashed)
Lap 2: TCS went funny for the rest of the race from here - no idea what happenned - 1st to 5th
Laps 3+4: Being careful with almost no TCS. Miles ahead of Dougie :)
Lap 5: Span it at the fast corner, tapped wall and completely broke my suspension (:() 5th - 9th :(
But I enjoyed it
Grats to Taylor, Hyntty and Mr.T :thumb:

Wait...it was the tyre stack you hit that crippled me twice in that lap :D
Is there going to be an investigation thread soon? I need to rant lol

30th March 2008, 19:19
@ Taylor - so sorry for hitting you in T1 - I had no-where to go :(
I let you past on lap 2 (I was never going to hold u behind me for long anyway :D) to compensate :)

Was good for me until last lap O_O If you have the chance to watch the last sector of the last lap, I crashed, almost flipped, I did a 360 and kept going but my front right suspension was completly dead. I still managed to get first with that thankfully :D.
Sucks about T1, Hyntty you went a little too fast in there when I watched the replay and drifted across taylor who didnt have a choice but to push you a little. Other then that GREAT driving throughout the series aswell as in this race :)
Grats taylor for fastest laptime you scared me with that :P

Yeah weird it was Hintty that caused all the havoc in T1 :scratchch

I'm sorry for the mayhem. I think i could have stopped it in time, if there had been a straight line to brake, but i had to go around both mista and taylor who were on the opposite sides of the track. It made the rear loose, and I lost it. Just an error of judgement, that's all.

Np. IMO, thats a racing incident. Thanks for not throwing me into the sand instead.

could someone attach the replay? :scratchch
i really want to see the final race! :D
hyntty
30th March 2008, 19:51
Me too. If you could upload it somewhere that's not rapidshare i'd be grateful!
@Mista: Haven't you said that before (not using your ass as a brake)?
J@tko
30th March 2008, 19:52
/me forgot to save it :(
Deko will upload in morning, if no-one else has.
Watch my first lap for some first class comedy :D

I think we both pulled something astonishingly funny-looking there, Jack

Btw, if you want some funny stuff watch me on the last lap on the last sector(I think) after the long straight followed by a right turn then left then another straight. It made my heart stop pumping.
T1 was pretty bad :P

Hey it's all good J@tko, no worries! I know there's not much you can do when a car is spinning infront of you :)
Grats taylor for fastest laptime you scared me with that :P
Cheers MrTea. I was really hooking it up on that 4th lap!
And 'grats for the win & for the most wins in the season :thumb:
I span out on the 2nd, driver error. Dipped a tyre in the dirt before that traintrack part & swapped ends. I was then a long way behind the leaders but I was on a charge after that finishing 3rd. Fun race overall.
Edit:
I just watched the replay & I had to laugh at some parts...
That looked like a very convenient 'accident' indeed Hyntty on the first corner! Good placement there, If Hyntty wanted to stop his main rivals at T1 it couldn't have been done it much better, nice try! :haha:
Mwahaha, only joking, we all know it was an accident.
And was RacerHero drunk or something? Why was he even on the track anyway? He couldn't even drive in a straight line...& what about the messages? There were others still racing when you flooded that crap you know RH?
And good lord MrTea! - the last race, the last lap, the last sector & you had a massive crash...you lucky, lucky boy!
So many What If's & But's in this season...but i prevailed! MWahahahaha

Everyone'll probably have to admit that this race looked kind of pathethic... At least on video

And my amazing T1 effort is on it :D
Watch you at about 1.26. You pass 5 LX4s on 1 straight with your turbooo power!

Great video HynTTy - what do you use to record/edit the videos?

I used some very basic programs: I actually did that on my bro's computer with Fraps, and Windows movie maker :D And naturally used lfs tv director to watch the replay. I thought I'll give it a try, and, and I might as well do some other clips
EDIT: Here's the middle part of it
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UouH7vb5KyQ
EDIT2: And the rest of it

So that's the full, boring race in full.

Hmm... what are the specs of your bro's PC... If I try to record a grid of cars at turn 1 it just lags sooo much :(

It's an Acer Travelmate 7520. Just recently bought, and cleaned (worms, viruses etc) a few days ago.
I've now been experimenting with a few things, and I've gotta say, it's not as hard as you think. Check this out

Important TIP: Save the file, and rename it, so you put .wmv after the name. It wouldn't work as a video file...

You guys should use vimeo or blip.tv for the videos. I recorded my only decent round in HD (1280x720) with Fraps as a test and it came out pretty decent - except for the fact that I basically ran out of HD space and the recording started stuttering the final lap. My cpu isn't that fast (athlon 3400+), but using these guides helped..

I diverted from the divx guide a bit to lower the file size. I don't understand how people can compress a 2 hour movie to 700MB with decent quality, yet my 200MB 6 minute LFS video loses a ton of the original quality. hmmm... it's probably the high resolution that screws up the file size..

GREAT race for me, got on p2 after t1, then fell back right out of the podium, but feels good to be the best fz5!

Every one always goes on about recording stuff at half speed, but how do you get the sound back? :scratchch
Is 1280*720 HD? If so, w00t :)

Look at the bottom picture...
I just put the next part of my experiment to upload. More onboard footage this time (thou we're just a poor beginner league, couldn't afford to put cameras in all cars :smileypul ) I just hope deko does better quality (directing, not actual video quality)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HKmHsGapy1s
(and no, the quality isn't hd. I prefer to test things first before trying to work with insanely big files. Besides, even these pushed the limits of my hard drive)

Mate, I was the only other FZ5. You could've beaten me if you'd have walked. :D
