You were in a protected area of the course, I did not deploy the SC for that reason.

I've been to NASCAR races before, and have listened to the Race Control. But to encourage some better racing, I am being more loose with SC deployments today. Plus, you were rightway up and moving.

What happened? Server was laggy, people couldn't control a car in a single file lane going 70mph around an oval, and by far not once it got to doubles... Not shaming anyone but some people need to practice driving before an event...

I then proceeded to pits to fix my damage from the SC laps and a wall tap on lap 1... But pitted without turning damage on. Took another slow lap down low, pitted, fixed damage but didn't realize my tires were so hot. Started to slide past the blend wall and when I hit the brakes the car got loose, tapped the inside wall and flipped due to server lag...

So much for actually practicing for this one.

So far 8 racers have gone out, most by other racers misbehaving. There is no organisation to this race, it's a mess. The kyoto 250 has been a mess, even before the race started, there were crashes everywhere, so yea. Better luck next time.

At first lots of crashing, and it was just the pace car lap, but it got better after a while. As I post this the race is generally around lap 70, and there is much less crashing than before.

Unfortunately, some of the less experienced racers/ones with bad computers tended to flop and end the race of some racers.

Aside that it's pretty intense, even if it is just a series of left turns.

Server was laggy + people were having FPS problems = The most reckless and poorest driving you would ever see.After recovering from 5 other crashes,I got into one BIG crash.To be honest,I expected more than what I saw today.Alot of people were pissed off at the fact that 5 crashes happened.....ON PACE LAPS!When their wasnt pace laps,crashes happen when on the first green FLAG LAP!Kind to think of it,this relates to the other Kyoto races.

Guys, sorry the race wasn't as good as you expected it to be. New Dimension Racing are just a group of about three people. We do our best to make the race enjoyable, but a race can only be as clean as the drivers in it.

Well, The start, Sucked...Noone can drive at 4.4 fps either..Plus drivers crashing, admins not seeing it, Then to top it off, My Kb stoped working had to restart comp, and I dont get laps back,...I am very disapointed! :shrug: :( It left a sour taste in my mouth... :shrug: :(

Strangely, i only crashed once and finished higher than i thought. Climbed from 21st to 6th :)

But here's a rant-ish talk i have to say :D

I was actually amazed that so many turned up. But most of them were acting like in kingergarten and ignored the rules. HOW HARD IS IT TO OBEY "NO TALKING" RULE? Sheesh.

Also the organisation was done properly, but the admins made one little mistake. I think it isn't really wise to organise an race and then go on holiday?(@: J@tko) It's not really wise if you ask me.

Then, here comes the attitudes.
Most of the guys were pretty clean and such, but then there is those guys who ruin it all. For example, one guy who cant be arsed to change a setup and drive the quali with a setup which has 5 passengers and crappy suspension. Now this tells me a lot, like the guy cannot be arsed to drive and came to drive and thought blah, a race. whoopdedoo. i think i cann't be arsed to switch setup so let me do a slow lap so i can race. whoopdedoo.

Also the yellow flag restarts were quite awful. I was stunned at people who "didn't see" people driving slowly and when they come they brake like, 5 meters before hitting. Then i "lost positions" and i should have been in front of RH and Lazlow.

Now i had something else to say but i forgot it

But it's unseemly to complain when you've won, so I'll say thanks to PMD and BigTime for the great race at the end (and special thanks for BT for being a great teammate and helping me to the win). Also thanks to MistaTea and Sarge for very clean racing.

Congrats to Starblue for doing so well with a last minute decision to race.

Thats sucks, but I guess its part of sim racing. (The equivelent of a heart attack irl :P)

... wasn't the best day for me... at least on the race track:

one hour before the event I could do high 48ers with my set. During qualifing and race I was happy if a 49 appeard on my screen. Then there was this whole pace lap stuff with not knowing where to be at the start... hmmm... well okey... It made fun, and my condition is down now...

I hope in the broadcast it won't seem to be that n00bish it seemed to be in the heat of action. (no isult against you niko :p ) I'm looking foreward to see it Niko ;)

Yes it was me but I didn't hit you, I clipped you because you decided to weave past 3 different cars when they were all trying to avoid the wreck between Sarge and Okeefe.

At the time my car was loose like hell (and even spun out 3 times before). I saw the crash and braked at T3 which made my car sideways, I corrected it but u were suddenly on the outside and I clipped you on the correction turn.

bwahaha, that was sure fun, ruined my qualy(thanks to wallclip ofcourse) and it was hard to make a competative race from back, got slashed few times + I had a really funny lfsBUG, didn't stop refuelling at pitstop, never seen this before :D, anyway it was a total disaster for us it sure was fun, that is what counts, so don't get your heads down, keep up the work and learn from experiences:thumb:

Having just re-watched the last 10 laps, I have 2 things to say:

1. Kenneth was waaaay off-base to yell at Sarge about that last accident. Sarge just got loose off the corner, something I must have done about 100 out of the 140 times I went through there. Just a racing incident.

2. PMD was showing incredible restraint in that battle. I swear he was off the throttle more than he was on it. Great driving, and must have been a great setup. I'm pretty sure he was biding his time and planning a late move. Things certainly would have been more interesting if Ice didn't get taken out at the get-go. :P

That was so big fail...
I had 7.1 fps at the start...when the lights turned green i pushed throtle.... i barely hited shank, couldnt stop.... then in the 2nd lap of pace laps shank comes with a great speed and crashes me into wall...my car wrecked, and he does nothing...i freaked out...

I also haven't had a nice framerate at start, when I noticed it I pressed esc, went to the graphic options and set the details to the minimum, no sky, no shadow, no wheels, no flags, trees or rubber... and then I had a framerate wich was good enough for a race.

If only everyone did the same, trust me when I was lapping people it was total caos sometimes. Many people crashed in front of me and I got SO lucky. It was incredible rofl. They'd all crash and I'd just go right in the middle :P.

@DWB : not just the set its cuz of the draft, I've lifted a lot before T3 because I really don't like overtaking there its WAY too risky.

Oh, I know, but he had a fantastic setup aside from that. He was doing .1x laps by himself where we (Nolan and I) were struggling to do .3xs.

What are the options to FF, and REW the replay? How do I get to them?

F3 for fast forward, F2 for slowing down. There is no rewind function for replays unfortunately.

Do a forum search for mprEdit.

Lets you edit a replay file to create a new, shorter replay with only the laps you want. :thumbsup:

I dont think it could have been a bigger disaster for SR dalek :P

I was the highest finishing SR but I was 40 laps down (I think i finished around 13).

It was pretty horrible, blackbird got take out DURING a SC period and he was out before 5 laps of green flag. Andrei and Mutt were both taken out in one incident around lap 20+.

As for me...well, I forgot to change mutt's set up to put in fuel. So I ran out of fuel at lap 20, went 5 laps down. I then tried to just ride out the entire race, but I was involved in multiple wrecks (some were my fault). Towards the last part of the race I completely burned my clutch and had to go to the garage. I was able to cool it off enough to finish the race but my car was so loose that I spun multiple times at the end (you can see my multiple saves as well towards the end of the race, my car was always sideways).

BTW I would like to apologize to Quint for ruining his day. In the replay I bolted at the restart and I tried to avoid the cars in front of me but I ended up slamming in the back of Quint.

I bolted at every restart (except the last one because my car was too degenerated). I've very good at that. It wasn't at the start because at the start of the race I went from 31st to 14th (this was very short lived because I was taken out a lap or two later due to lag). It was the accident where you were flipped. That was caused by me and I apologize for that.

Can't believe how many people were wrecking during the SC... but it was pretty amusing. The SC did a good job of staying right at 70mph... not sure what the problem was.

I'm not a big fan of oval racing but I think I'd still have fun out there. I may join the next 250 or 500.

I seriously suggest we do another 250 sometime in the late summer or early fall. I dont want to say "redo" because that'll be unfair to the drivers who finished really well, but there were a lot of things that went wrong this past saturday and it would be nice to have a good 250. :)
