Hypocritically perhaps, I don't have any good enough to start procedings (being a n00b and all), but it'd be great to see people upload replays of some close races, amazing comebacks, suicidal passes, and of course huge crashes. Even AI and physics glitches can be a larf.

I actually find some replays very handy for learning braking points and racing lines from the more seasoned competitors.

I posted something similar over on the RCS forum, there is a porblem in that the replays can not be edited, so for a large (ish) race you do have a huge replay file. The only answer is to create your own movies with the relevant overtake/crash in it.

Please correct me if i'm wrong!!

Laughing out loud watching this one. A ding dong battle for the lead while mayhem ensues and insults fly amongst the rest of the pack after a huge first corner incident.

A top battle between a tiny UFR and an army of behemoth (in comparison) XFRs. Very close and very clean despite the aforementioned incident on lap 5 which was inevitable really.

Well, here is how I rolled my GTi nearly 11 times :)

And the 2nd one is a crazy insane nutter 1 lap Bl GTI race where You see more passing than during the whole F1 season :)
Insane drafting and stuff, I could see a commentator of the race being confused of who is passing who on the straight :) because it's nearly like 5 wide :)

I'm not sure if caused by lag or a glitch, but this replay is a good example of when lag/glitch meets terminal speed at Blackwood in a FOX.

Watch in awe as 2nd place flies through the air down the last 1/4 of the back straight at Blackwood, while 3rd place goes from top speed to 0 in an instant, only to be collected by the looming pack.

The only thing left to say is: WTF?

It's not wheel-to-wheel all the way through but decided to share it as I drove the race of my life desperately trying to cling on to the faster FZ50 GTR :)

oh yeah, I met this guy too, and I sign that, to put him to ban-log. He and his buddy behaved like arses. Like pulling the brakes out of nowhere in a race, when I was getting his draft on BL backstraight or similar "stunts".

Don't tell me that the "buddy" is JeanPierre? (or whatever) He was the only one not voting to kick/ban, and since there where so few racers on the server, he stayed forever. (until everybody left)

Best I've had is a few laps pretty much side to side with someone in an FOX. If I remember correctly I fudged it... after a while racing I always end up overestimating the capabilities of that car.

here's a replay file of a very close battle. After many frustrating races i'd worked my way up to 2nd place and battled for 5 whole laps. :P winning by only a few feet.

FZR vs FxR. i dont think were were more than 1 second apart during the race. :P

Here's another clip from same server I think. Some nice battle between finnish drivers. Lap 2 may be little boring but lap 3 starts pretty close. Also I made a stupid error after lap 4 thinking the race was over and stepped off the throttle - BING - one more lap to go and pressure builds :)

I think you wanted open wheel battlings here but hope this will do in the meanwhile :smileypul

those were 2 pretty good battles :D one thing though ; if you have FZR and you're being chased by an FXR, you should do what i did in my race :P. If its fzr vs fzr its not of much use though. and of course only for use if you're just defending a position (guy in front of you is too far ahead)

The FXR doesn't stand a chance against especially the FZR if they dodge, XRR is not too bad to drive against because it accelerates out of the corners a bit slower than the FZR (I don't see too many ppl who manage to keep the turbo boost high in slow corners)

Only prob with following ppl who dodge is that I run with so little downforce I generally go skidding all over the place even on straights :P
There was a close call after T1 in one of the two above, almost drifted too far.

Still, good fun to drive against faster cars, gives u a kick trying to keep up with them. I always drive better in such races than when hotlapping :D

Here's something different. FE green, five laps. I'm in an LX6 and the other three guys are in XF GTR. Great race that was back and forth up until the last lap. I feel bad for El_Bitcho. He was clearly faster than the rest of us, but just couldn't get by.

One thrilling fight between 2 FZR over 5 laps on ASNation. At the last lap in front of the chicane the other decided to break early (realy fair, because i think he was in front and i was going to break for him, but he breaked much earlier so i took the win). I've had some really nice races online. Wheel to wheel, lap after lap. But I always forget to save them.

What follows in not a hotlap, race, spectacular crash, wrecker, or weird occurance. It's a bit different. It's me, alone, offline, in "get to the end of the race" mode. It's something I'm proud of. This one isn't terribly consistant, but it will do.

Here's a replay from a Figure 8 track that I whipped up. Keep your eye on CoopZ. I collide with him on about the fourth or fifth lap and send his car flying nearly out of the park! This track is just plain awesome with 8 guys on it. By about the 5th lap people start spreading out and the X becomes a killing zone. :)

Here's one pretty fast, clean, close and hard race between 3 FXO's at the front on AS2 from start to finish. Other races from that night had more spectacular moves but this one was the closest as a whole. Enjoy. :D

It means that replay was made with older version than your game is. I guess you have patch U, so you can only see replays made in patch U.

I will just bring this topic back to life to showcase these 3 files of , in my opinion , good racing.

This was taken earlier tonite / last night ( tis midnight here ) on the LFSNorge server of LFS S2 , the track is South City Classic and the equipment is the v. nice MRT5.

I have summerised the main points of each replay , to save you missing any special parts of the 8-lap action within each race.

Now obviously , i disclaim that I hope the racers mentioned let me write up about 'em , and that i can use the server name and not all incidents may have happened exactly as i say they do.


But , they are listed below , so it should be easier to watch each part that happens.

lets start.

RACE 1 ...

Good amount of starters , and good racing throughout.

Raffe goes off early , and the pack head up to the first corner where we all attempt to file thro ( some more succesful than others :schwitz: )

Straight after this , quickly move to my ( RenaultF1tm cockpit camera/view ) and watch what happens just exiting the chicane ( luckily i have reactions of a sleeping cat :tilt: ...:really: )

The pack spread out after the chicane , as most tend to do ( for obvious reasons :scratchch ) and most interest is turned to Raffe and MightyFc from 3rd lap until around 5th lap , where they are in a close and enjoyable-to-watch racing mood hehe.

As LFSNorge takes the race into 6th lap , just after the bridge , VDT|_Tdnoz_ is caught unaware by the blueflag system and commits race suicide to stop himself from crashing with race leader , good on you VDT ! lolol

The action then centres on Goose on his 6th lap just after the chicane , as he hits the barrier and does something worthy of a " 9 " in an indoor gymnastics event.

For the rest of the laps , steady racing is in place , as GFsC*Yahh(NOR) pulls out the stops and hits some nice race times for the track ( 50:**s ).

That concludes RACE1.

RACE2 starts shortly after , and so you'll notice the same names just about.

RACE 2 ...

A close racing contest is observed from the start .... for the first 20 seconds or so anyways ...

Then at T1 , the drivers begin to pick there way through the MRTs lying strewn on the course after a race incident ( yes , that i caused :schwitz: )

However , i pick myself up and viewers are recommended to watch my MRT as yet more close and professional racing is commenced on 2nd / 3rd and 4th lap by me and drivers around me.

Then , on that lap , ( 4th ) i get yellow flags for the course ahead no less than 3 times , and watch particularly the last turn on that lap , as I nearly get crushed by a MRT that has flipped the pit lane wall ( dunno how he did it ) , barely missing me ( those sleeping cat reflexes again methinks :D )

LFSNorge.Net pulls some nice times as well , ( under 51s ) for the following 2 laps.

I somehow manage to crash going down a relatively straight part of the course entering my 6th lap ... :pillepall

DFHZRichie has an alteration with a metal fence after exiting the chicane on his 6th lap.

Good times and Good driving is pretty much the order of the day for the last 2 or so laps.

RACE3 was also in quick succesion to RACE2 , and so here it is ...

RACE 3 ...

EVERYONE MAKES IT CLEANLY THROUGH T1 !!! ( very rare hehe ) :thumb:

But , sods law ... there is an incident at T1 in lap 2 although nothing major.

Just before lap 3 , I somehow find myself in 2nd position and make a determined mental note to gaurd that place with my life !! ... :scratchch ...

... by the end of that lap ... i was back in 3rd place :really:

Nice Driving and Good times by LFSNorge.net and GFsC*Yahh(NOR) for the next laps.

I think this is the race where i somehow finish first.

That concludes the Race Reviews

Obviously I missed some parts of each driver , as i cant view them all at every second , but the above for all Races is definately some of the best ( and funniest ) parts of the action.

I don't know have you heard for OPS, but that league goes on TV. Anfortunutly it's only for Ex-Yugoslavia (Serbian language) players. But we have practice servers and there is always great action.
