Hi to you all!

I'm still just trying out the free demo at the moment. Have been playing on an online server which requires me to go sub 1.20 in the Formula BMW FB02 to qualify for their race servers. I'm really struggling to drop below 1.22 and that seems to be the best i have. Are their any specific car setups you can recommend to get more pace/better handling etc?

Any advice would be greatly recieved! Oh and it's track Blackwood GP.

Cheers

Post a copy of your replay. You may well be able to get sub 1:22 just by driving differently.

...Oh and it's track Blackwood GP....

Of course it is.

Go to http://setupfield.teaminferno.hu/, experiment with the setups you find there.

Good luck... buying S2 tends to accelerate the learning process... No really, honestly, no kidding... It worked for me, I was on demo maybe 1 hour or so before I got the full version

First of all get a good setup.

I'd recommend you get one from Setupfield.net (Link below)
http://www.my3id.com/gaming/lfs/setups/1/hotlap/get/FBM@BL1

Or Inferno's setupfield
http://setupfield.teaminferno.hu/?p_section=setupdetails&p_config_id=1&p_car_id=65&p_version=S2

The laptimes that people had with those setups are usually written beside it or on top of the download button.

Once you have a good setup, post a replay and let us see what your doing wrong I'm sure many of us would be happy to help. :) (At least I would).

Good luck xD

Are you driving with a wheel? If yes, try to brake later and accelarate earlyer. U need to train train and train. Dirve as many laps as u can, everytime nearer to your limit. If you got your limit try a set, and tune it for your driving style.

download a good setup from one of those two sites, then watch how other people go faster if you hav no clue what ur doing wrong. See where they break (very important), and the speed they go through the curves so you have an idea when you can throttle in a curve or not.

You might want to get the brakes a bit early, and practice the best line, then as you feel more comfortable, starting breaking closer to the limit.

What kind of advice is that? Brake late and accelerate early isn't necessarily faster. Maybe he's braking too late or accelerating too early already... It's all about cornering speed and speed coming out of the corners that makes the difference, not how late you brake.

As others have said before, try one of those sets from the links given and post a replay... and what controls are you using? If you don't have a wheel yet, I suggest getting one...even the cheapest ones are better than keyboard :thumb:
