Hello,
I have a dedicated server running, and I'm wonder how you go about inserting random and or welcome messages ?
Is it coded into the config, or do I need a utility.
Also, where in LFSWorld does it allow you to enter a team name in your profile ?
I've looked around and can't seem to find it.
Thanks
Bird

if you want a welcome message simply use insim relay (info: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=1491&highlight=insim+relay )
LFS Auto Message: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=2412&highlight=insim+relay
OR i find LFS Lapper gives plenty of options for automessages / welcome messages. http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=56323#post56323
I dont think there is a way to enter a team into your own profile.
But you can Add a Team to the team list via the Online Racers Database / LFS Teams Search on LFS World.

Thank you for the information.
If you search a racers stats on lfs world, it comes up with (at the top)
Name, Country, Birthday, Team.
Some people have the Team filled in with their team name. I can't seem
to find how they've filled it in

the team bit may automatically add when they are added to a Team list on the LFS Teams Database.

That doesn't seem to be it, either. There are teams listed with members in the teams database, and some of the members have the 'team' filled in their individual profiles and others don't.
It's very curious, it has to be entered somewhere, but I've looked through lfsworld again, and can find nothing on it.

Did you try kicking it? Threatening it with beatings from Chuck Norris?
Seriously, I think DWB may know about it as I think he had our team name in our profiles once before?

The team manager (or the one who created the team) is able to add members in their team. This is an answer i got from Victor, asking about this.
Since i haven't created a team, or am a manager, you should ask one of the teams how it actually works.

the team name is added once someone has been added to the team list. but the team name will only show up if the "team tag" spot is filled in with something ie. ours is "noobs"!
