If you have a Macbook Pro. You can partition your Mac HD with Boot Camp and install Windows (Look in /Applications/Utilities/ for Boot Camp Assistant). Note that you DO need a copy of Windows XP or Vista to install. It's relatively easy to install, and Boot Camp Assistant points you well on your way.

Hope this helps.

please lemme kno, if not, WHY???Writing cross platform applications adds an extra complication. Writing cross platform games adds yet more. When LFS was begun the Mac platform wasn't Intel orientated, which added yet more complications, and it simply wasn't as widely used as it currently is.

There are no plans, that I am aware of, to modify LFS and make it available to run natively on OSX.

Please understand that the programming is done completely by one man, so expecting the moon on a stick isn't reasonable.

You can, however, run LFS under Windows on your macbook, if you use bootcamp and have a spare, legal, key you can use for the Windows installation. You may also find that DarWINE works, allowing you to run LFS on OSX, using the WINE compatibility layer, however I have no knowledge as to whether or not any one has ever done this and whether or not it works.

I have heard of some people using Parallels, which now supports 3D acceleration, to run LFS in a virtual Windows installation, under OSX. However, this will also require a valid Windows licence, and a Parallels licence.

Karl, Currently the X11 that comes with OSX is broken, so DarWINE isn't a suitable option (No 3d abilities). However there are other alternatives such as Crossover Office (uses Wine) which does a rather good job (in comparison to a VM) although sometimes very slow to start programs.

Parallels I found was slower than VMware Fusion while running LFS. Although the FPS that you'd get is so slow, (7 FPS with more than 1 car on track, 30FPS if I was only car on track) it's not even worth playing.

There's nothing to say that you have to use the version of X11 that comes with OSX at all. There are community rolled versions which reportedly work just as well. The XQuartz project (http://trac.macosforge.org/projects/xquartz) springs to mind, for instance.

Well, i knew of this. since i work for Apple, it is however in my question if there was a existing patch or adapted version for Mac OSX...Boot Camp, however on the partition, i have not the need for on my machine outside of this game...so the long-term relevance of using Boot Camp is not feasible...

There are a lot of hardware add-ons that Mac users can get, which enable them to run LFS natively in the machine's OS. Here is an example (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8700355&type=product&productCategoryId=pcmcat39100050018&id=1199494971002). Also available 2nd user, a lot cheaper :)

Sam, Bootcamp is still easier, and cheaper than a whole second machine.
