Two crap races :(

First race I spun because my phone wrang - ended up 2nd to last

Second race I spun and then rolled.

1st race was quite good, nice clean racing from what I saw. 2nd race seemingly had no sense of gentlemanly racing (if that's the correct choice of words...)...

Wasn't a total disaster, but race 2 could have gone smoother...

I agree. First race did have crashs which got me first :P

BDS was racing very well and I was happy to see that when he overtook me and I overtook back he didnt fishtail me. Great racing man.

Second race was awfull for me :S
On last turn i dowshifted to first by accident and spun :S then there was an SC lap (cant imagin how happy i was), I catch up to the field and BANG disconnect O_O.

Really sucked for me in race 2 but I guess its part of the online racing :P. At least im sure that if it was in real life it wouldnt have disconnected. Im guessing the equivelent to disconnect is heart attack in real life :P

Trying to pass in the fast turns is a sure suicide in most cases - proved by Mutt.

Hintty and Technique both passed me during SC in race 2.

First race I had an odd line in the last turn (slow cars in the turn combined with nerves!) and wound up hitting the tires flipping over the race wall.. something I never did in practice. All that practice went out the window. On top of it I started 14th (2nd to last) in race 2 so the DQ cost me big time.

First race I totally shafted myself (and sorry to others) by driving like a maniac just before the final lap to catch up. Kind of sad that others spun me at the first lap, but I won't point names.

Second race goes too smoothly, SC comes out early, I get a big lead towards the end after the SC lap. Final lap? Hyntty and Taylor were almost all over me until the second split, when for some odd reason I pull away? What happened?

I'd like to congratulate you all on making it round Turn 1 (of Race 2 at least!) without crashing!

I was following in SC and amazed to see no spinners!

Sorry for not racing, I'm in a really foul mood. One cause is maths homework, another a terrible headache, and another a girl (well, kinda) :(

I'd have crashed you all. :(

@Yuni: Congrats!! How you stayed in front was amazing! BTW, Hynnty nearly spun, and nearly got overtaken by Technique. That race between those two on the last lap was great to watch!

Hey you're right. Even when I watched the replay I did not notice this. We were already 3 wide when the SC came out and to be honest when the adrenaline's pumping I didn't even notice the SC message for a few seconds. Sorry about that. I think it's the responsibility of race control to tell us if we should be behind a car when it's so close like that.

a) the overtaking occurred less than two seconds after sc deployment
b) kipsus slowed down dramatically in the middle of the straight (which wouldn't have been nice if I had been behind him instead of his side)

did Jack write a rule about a situation like this? I honestly don't know how this is gonna work out.

Overtaking is strictly forbidden under safety car conditions.
1. If the car ahead of you spins or is otherwise unable to maintain safety car speed,
that car may be overtaken
2. If you overtake during safety car, you must return the position or you will be
assesed a penalty on the restart.


Once the “SAFETY CAR” Message is on screen, there is to be no overtaking and the pits close at that point.

Therefore, Technique's moved is deemed illegal.

Neither of you had a significant overlap over me when the SC flag flashed. The only reason I slowed down was to not interfere with both of you as you were still racing - to not cause a crash. And I did look in the mirrors before braking ;)

My opinion also. But that's not what the rules say. It is there to prevent people crashing with crashed cars.

In the real world, I would guess they have race officials who look over replays to determine the order before the restart? I really had no idea I had overtaken under SC. No one said anything (I know kipsus was obeying the no-chat rule). Since it was not so blatant I would blame this on the limitations of the game. Deko can't stop mid-race to check the grid order and neither hyntty or I realized we did anything wrong or we would have definitely given up our spots. :(

An average race I guess. Not great but not really bad for me :shrug:

First & second laps were fine, Technique bumped me so I had some extra speed heading up to T1 & so I passed Hyntty. All was good until Lap 3 when Hyntty caught up with me. Heading into that quick right-left before the final turn & I almost got squeezed fully off the track! I yielded my position to avoid yet further contact, although I would've been within my rights to not do so.

Now on Lap 4, approaching T1 side by side with Hyntty again. Hmm...alls I have to say is this...
If Hyntty gave me the room that I did for him, it wouldn't of happened. Shame Juuretis got involved in it, bad luck there. :(
I struggled to get it going afterwards, stalling it once or twice but I finished 5th in the end.

In Race #2 I got tangled up in an unfortunate sequence of events at T1...a chain reaction. Then under the SC I came so damn close to wiping Rob out at some speed! Think I was looking in the mirrors or the map :schwitz:But I judged the restart to perfection, passing Rob inches after the line.

Finished 5th in both races though, maintaining & increasing my Championship lead [by my calculations] so I can't grumble when looking at the bigger picture :D
