help with fps =(

hi....this is the same problem that other guys...
when im with all player (start line) my fps down to 7 or 9 fps....

my pc:

cpu: 3.0
video: nvida 6600
ram: 1 gb


i don't know why my best fps are 30 :s....with x version i just had 90 or 100 fps

who knows why?

Have you tried taking off the FPS limiter in the options? You have to put minimum sleep to 1 ms as well.

You might have to tweak the graphic settings in your video card as well because LFS has new textures (unless you have downloaded new textures before). You can also halve the texture size in the LFS options to boost performance.

It's normal for FPS to go down at the start line with many people. Usually it's the CPU that holds it back. If the above helps and the full grid gets the FPS boost, then it probably is the graphics.

agree with drifting about half texture size. also a lower options->graphics->user LOD setting might help. there´s just one thing about that slider that might give you a disatvantage on track: the lower you set user LOD, the closer other cars need to be to appear in your mirror.

to reduce FPS drop at the start, go to options->misc and turn "dynamic LOD reduction" up to the max: 1.00

this will make other cars at the start look like cubes, but at least it chould be playable again.
