No, Christmas Day :wmann3: is for the whole family, so will be playing (xxxxxx) with my son during the day, eating the obligatory half a stone of turkey and then, I suspect :scratchch I just might have a shandy too many in the evening after he's in bed... :drink: Suspect a number of people will have a similar itenary.

Since LFS attracts people from all the world it depends which day you mean?
In sweden the celebration takes place at the 24:th of december. And our week starts at monday. And we use the metric system. And Celsius rules our temperature. We love to eat pork. And we drive our cars on the correct side of the road. :shy:

Oh and no. I will not sit infront of my computer the 24:th. :smileypul

Christmas day or not, it does not affect my plans at all

But I don't race online too often anymore, problem is to find good races or then need to be certain time in certain place and that spoils idea again, I hate plan in advance what I will do at certain time :Looking_a

Nah, he was just joking. :D LFS > life and christmas = LFS. Of course then x + life = christmas when x < LFS but LFS > everything else. So what's x?...

Same as Gish. We don't 'do' Christmas in my family, partly because we're not religious, partly because it's SOOOOO commercialised, and partly because normally sensible people become silly for no real reason.

Xmas will be a normal day really for me, with a bit of gift giving in the afternoon, a slightly formal Christmas meal, then back to the workshop to do the next job. Two years ago I was measuring and fitting piston rings on Christmas day. This year I expect to be overhaul F3 brake calipers or making a foam seat for it.

I expect I will have a play of LFS at some point in the evening too, on a server with lots of nice people.

Christmas normally takes up the morning for me, after xmas dinner though its business as usual. Last year I was racing in LFS half the afternoon, being sociable the other half, this year I will probably be doing the same.

Hope the only servers with people won't be GTR@AS3 or FOX@BL1 on christmas. Or I try to make a new pb in GPL...

Who's up for making a pic of Scawen in a santa costume, riding in a sleigh (open UF1) towed by a dozen GTR's, with a snowy blackwood in the background.

I'd normally undertake such silly picture editing, but I feel this one is above my feeble skills.

I bought some cool toys for my son so I...., I mean he, will be busy all christmas day:razz: . That and visiting my sister and neice and goin to the folks for a big feed. Then its to the wifes folks for another big feed and after all that its back to the toys... I mean sleep.

18th December 2005, 03:08
Well, I'll probably be racing in LFS, Racer, or flying in MSFS9 on somebody's Christmas day. The girls are way to unpredictable for "Santa" to come early in the night then get some sleep, so "Santa" will probably have to come quite late. That means he gets to drive, race, or fly something other than the sleigh for a few hours Christmas Eve (at UK's early Christmas morning).

i was thinking of either MRT@ Aston Cadet, XFR at WE International Reversed, FO8@Aston National or XFR@ Aston Club.

Who's up for a 40 lap GTR race on Aston Grand Prix on the evening of the 25th?

Nah, me neither. :D

Once the family has gone home I may find myself hopping online for a couple of quick races later in the evening. But what with the wine and sherry having been consumed that day, I may be a bit wobbly. I'll drive with the hazard flashers on if that's the case. :thumb:

I'll be off the the grandparents at christmas eve, so I have less time to 1: Race the UF1000 or 2: Drift :D or 3: getting my hands on illegal fireworks :D

Is that where the "ATC" comes from then? Do you do this within some flight sim or other, or is there a specific air traffic control sim?

Yes ATC Origionally started from this... one day the origional 6 of us just got really bored and really pished and decided to give a name to all the other games we played... LFS managed to get A Touring Car Team.

Its done with Microsoft Flightsimulator 2002 / 2004 i used to do it for small groups but now i control on a network that covers thousends of frequent MSFS flyers.

www.vatsim.net Its worth looking into if you are serious about making your flight as real as you can.

I might be able to make this, would be cool.

I vote for LX4 (or rather 6, but I think that might be a little dangerous for a casual race night  ) on SO City Long or Town. :thumb:

Server is up as Christmas 60 Lapper. GTR Cars at Westhill. No password. Its just a turn up and race :D Race starts at 6:45 GMT so you got 45 mins (ish) from this post.
