View Full Version : 300 km/h barrier

hi there!
In what circuit and with what settings and cars did you pass the 300 km/h barrier?
I only did it once with the v8 in the kyoto ring!

I don't even think it's funny anymore that these demo racers crack LFS and then talk about it on the official forum. It's just sad, this display of sheer stupidity.

I didn't knew that you can drive the FO8 as demo racer...

Mind you, there have been cases of people having "Demo racer" as subtitle, while being S2 licenced.

lemme guess:

"hehehe i am demo , but i played it at a friends house, who is S2 licensed"

Or he's S2 licensed, but doesn't use that account for posting. Why don't you give him the benefit of the doubt?

axus
15th December 2005, 15:09
Sigh... can we make a sticky to let "demo racers" know that they cannot drive S2 cars so if you have a cracked LFS S2 you should not post here about cars other than XFG, XRG and XRT and tracks other Blackwood? I can see it now:

"REMINDER: IF YOU HAVE A CRAKCED GAME..."

Do not post on these forums about S1 or S2 content. Only ask about demo content.

i have a licens! But i had no idea that i had to login in the forum with the orinigal account. and i had no idea that if i login with another account i would be instantly accused! thats sad!

ps: i have no idea f* how to crack a game!

No, it is not sad. It is the way things work.
You walk down the street with a smoking gun in your hand, the police are going to stop you and ask about the dead guy with a bullet hole in his head just up the street.
Just create a new login using your LFS info, and you are golden. If you can't do that, then you are guilty as charged.
Some of us get upset about cracked versions because we want LFS to succeed at achieving its ultimate goals. People who use cracked versions are not supporting that effort.
Demo racers are fine, they are just evaluating or saving up money to buy.

No need to do that.

Just enter your account username and WEBpassword in the username and password fields and click Log In.

a smoking gun in the hand is barely compareable with not having properly registered in a forum. and why is it impossible that someone has driven the F08 on a convention or at his friend? weird attitude.

did we have a single case where LFS has been cracked? I cant remember one.

Hey, here's a wild idea! Let's answer the question... :tilt:

To my knowledge (and in my experience) the oval is the only track where you can reach 300...

AndroidXP
15th December 2005, 15:36
@SchneeFee: Trust me, there were many already.

@cpachmann: I can understand that it's frustrating to get accused of cracking the game on the first post, but there just have been too many occurencies of "Demo racers" who DID have a cracked version asking for stuff, etc. So you have to understand that we're kinda cocky about that.

As said before, just login to the forums with your WEBaccount and WEBpassword (like you would on liveforspeed.net). As soon as we see you posting with this account, everyone will be happy :grouphug:

never reached 300 in the oval yet - when reaching 299 the next corner arrives already. :D edit: with drafting maybe

:lfs: was cracked? Hm, i though this isnt possible - since u need an account to play online. Or is it only possible to play offline then?

keiran
15th December 2005, 15:52
Possible to play offline but not on.

@cpachmann
Log off of that account and enter your WEBusername and WEBpassword into the fields for the forum (i.e the same as your lfs.net account) and then post back here. That way you can prove you own the game :)

Let's not give airtime to LFS cracks, the more we talk about it the more tempting it might become for some..

It is good that those who have illegal copies make posts in here, so dev's can have their IP-address and call officals that will take pirates computers and all cool stuff away, also their parents car too :smileypul

No piece of software is free from being cracked, but I don't think it could tempt a serious racer, if you can only play LFS offline (without an account to upload hotlaps), you have nothing.

Some people were moaning in the past about the LFS account system, but it is the base for a good community.

BTW, I agree to put some extra content in the forum for the Licensed Races only, IIRC Victor said something about having some data connection between LFSWorld & LFSForum, so I wont suggest anything an left it to his imagination :thumb:

For clarity, if I remember correctly, the speed limit is 444mph before LFS resets the vehicle.

Or he's S2 licensed, but doesn't use that account for posting. Why don't you give him the benefit of the doubt?

Because that would mean they need to respect others and put
everyone at their 'level'. They'd need a simulator for that ;)

As long as we are in the general LFS forum, i don't think we can't really
be off topic, but still...i'm also getting annoyed at all these negative
comments (more interesting for those posting them then for anyone else)
much more than the occasional seemingly demo racers maybe using a
cracked copy. I just sit back and laugh when one goes publicly announcing
he's using a cracked copy. It's also mush easier for the devs to ban them.
It's a good thing imo. We want ALL those lamers to post here, no ?!

It's a wonder how the community EVER got 'close'. I guess it's an initiation
ritual. If you can stand all the elitism and purism, you're a real LFS fan ;)

Oh yeah, what's the subject again ? lol
Oh, i remember, 300kmh, mmm. Obviously The Ring would be the ideal
place to try. I've managed to get 290+ there with the right setup. I
never reached 300kmh without using another car to draft.

It's funny to see all you guys accusing and blaming someone to use a cracked .exe while you seem to know a lot of stuff about how the .exe was cracked, if it had a virus or not and how it was easily available. :scratchch

A cracked lfs exe is not something you find while walking innocently on the street, I presume some have already used one. I personnaly never searched one thus never found one, and I'm sure you can't find a cracked exe by accident :arge:

So next time, give him a chance, ask him politely to login to the forum using his own S2 account instead of accusing him directly while some of you do not look so innocent in this case. If in this case he uses a cracked copy, he will probably reconsider the question about wether he should purchase it.

Back to the topic : I never watch my speed gauge. I have absolutely no idea of the highest speed I can reach in LFS. Mom told me to watch the road, you never know, sometimes a corner decide to appear in front of you. :D

why even bother cracking lfs? all the fun is in racing online.

Gabkicks
17th December 2005, 10:04
people are quick to be mean online because there are little or no punishments:scratchch

a friend of mine cracked lfs s2 because he only had s1. and he bought s2 a few days after he got the crack.

cmckowen
17th December 2005, 12:54
Ya the max speed i have done is 720Km/h on the dot in the f08, thanks to mechanic....
Then the vehicle is reset.

Ya i agree its stupid to crack S2....there's limited fun when playing offline.
All the LFS greatness is found online.

deggis
18th December 2005, 11:48
It would be stupid to crack S2 even if you could race online with it. Cracking is like "hey devs, thanks for the great game and f*uck you."

Blackout
18th December 2005, 12:54
On topic..

I remember reaching 299km/h without tweaks or draft. But I think reaching 300 will come even more difficult when aerodynamics gets fixed, we need more power to Formula V8 :D

evans
18th December 2005, 13:02
It's easy to reach 300+ on KY Oval reverse. I've done 301 :)
The other way around, you can do 300 on the straight before the final corner without drafting.
