Aye, I add my congrats to all the very worthy winners of the awards. Plus a big :thumb: to Mr DWB for organising and putting such a big effort into making the whole thing work.

But for me the biggest winner this year was the community, courtesy of Patch Y

Congratulations to all winners!
When I saw the nominated teams, drivers and forum sluts I found that no vote would be wrong, all nominees would have deserved a win!
Thanks for making this happen!

Not in my category they wouldn't.

Actually that gives me an idea. How about next year we call it "The Kev Award For Charismatic Peerlessness"?

Nicely laid out list. Hope your the guy who organise's next year's community year end awards...even if you are too tired to do it :D

Hey hey, dont refuse! DONT MAKE ME LET TRISTAN LOOSE ON YOU!! :D

I would just like to say a thanks to anyone who nominated for me, but a big sorry for the confusion over the two accounts, it was my fault for not remembering that i had it.

Good thing that you done though Wolf. Very well organised, and was quite funny watching some of the funny conversations going on in some of the threads.

Top bloke.

Thanks, Nathan.

I'll definitely be doing it again next year, and I'll take under advisement any suggestions that have been made re: existing categories or the possibility for new ones.

<-------- Noob! go me!

Congrats to every individual, every team and every org that has won...... Great job too by CTRA picking up so many awards. Very well deserved, especially to Sam for putting in so many hours :)

Ok so the chances of you remembering this for next year are pretty slim, but, you can't have a sim racing awards ceremony without a "Slowest Driver" award. And indeed what self respecting award ceremony wouldn't include a "Life Time Achievement" award. And seeing as this forum is more like a chatroom than a regular forum we really need a "Forum Layabout" award. (maybe we could give the winner a layabout raceabout skin :))

Anyway, congrats to DWB for all the hard work he's done, couldn't have been easy with the amount of time he had to arrange it all. And congratulations to all the winners, and indeed anyone who got a nomination. It's simply another example that LFS is one of the best gaming communities on the net.

Well done to all :thumb:

Zeug's way of turning the expression 'n00b' into something positive is brilliant. :yipee:

Wish I could take credit for that one, but it was zeug's idea (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=618346#post618346).

An idea for next year:

How about, in each poll thread, after the nomination have been made, there could be a little description, with links where relevant, of why each person in the poll has been nominated. Help people make more of an informed decision.

Definitely a good idea.

I'm thinking about having it on a separate site next year (maybe a lfs.net subdomain a la the LX week?) with a proper voting system instead of forum polls.

But we'll see, lots of time to plan.

In the LFS cmmunity the expression "noob" has always had a positive meaning. :D

Congrats to all the winners. :)
