I am dekojester, currently on Demo License, but will be purchasing S2 come early January

I will be producing videos of this League as well as being Race Director for the events.

Most of my posts in this forum will be of the administrative variety, commenting on certain things for upcoming races and any requests I might have.

I will post any videos for the league in the Movies section of the LFS Forum.

I reckon that I am a very common-sense admin, I very much enjoy and appreciate good, tight racing. I don't mind a bit of contact, because in racing, some contact is inevitable. I("The Race Director") promise to do my best to let you guys ("The Racers") sort it out on the track, not in the control tower or in an office a week after the race.

I have helped keep "Control" in demo servers in the past, and admined in TDRT's Demo server.

My PM box (as long as I keep it clean) is always open, and so is my email box. Contact me with any questions you have !

See you on the track !

 Hi there,

So it's just you admining the races then? You've got your work cut out doing all that alone haven't you, and making videos of the races too?! Blimey.

I'm helping anmining the ones I'm not competing in (Rounds 2+7) but apart from that, he's all alone. Although seeing by the professionalism of his post in the R1 discussion thread he shouldn't have a problem. He has some experience too, which helps.

I will use R1 to judge if I need any assistants to help. Blackwood is fairly easy to do by oneself, but I may do the others with hiring the assistance of some.

I am currently trying to figure out the best way to make videos. I was thinking using FRAPS, but after reading that it causes performace hits to PCs, and mine arealdy runs at about 25-30 FPS with only ZoneAlarm and XP running that I don't want to throw in another eater into my mix.

I work in TV...I have tools that can capture to somethign straight from a video out....I was thinking of using that to go to a VHS (Yes, I still use good 'ol VHS) and then burning the raq video to DVD, then ripping the DVD into my MacBook to edit in Final Cut. I may be able to go direct to DVD, too if I get to borrow the DVD burner at my station for a few hours to do this.

That sounds like a lot of uneeded work, tbh if i could use the lfs camera id do it for you 110+FPS but i cant work the lfs camera at all, Is there not any easier way than that?

My life is simple.

I sleep, eat, go to class, work, and play LFS.

I don't go to parties here (even though my school was the #2 party school my freshman year, and now it's down to P9 or so this, my junior year)

Every sunday from 1600-2400 Eastern Time, I operate the school's TV stattion. I take transmitter readings every two hours, and make the autiomation happy when something's wrong.

Not like I don't have the time to do it the roundabout way. :-p

I think that I can get most of it done in a couple weeks or so. The races are short, so each camera angle I do for a broadcast will not take that long.

So are shorter tracks better then? If so, I'll change the ones that are quite long (FE Black - 4 miles and AS North - about 4.5 miles) to shorter ones for you. To give you an idea, BL GP is 2 miles.

I am very familiar with BLGP. :-D

I will play around with the tracks currently on the schedule when I get S2 and let you know. I don't want to have to change the calendar for videos.

I'll skip on the blu-ray eye surgery.

And for the neck pain, I suggest becoming a fish, as you won't have to worry about having a neck. :-p

And even though I have announced sports before (in a slightly Murray Walker-esque fashion, might I add), I have never announced F1 alongside him, let alone race in it.
