:thumbsup:we race on a small oval in the Blackwood carpark using the Uf1000 car
and we race FULL CONTACT so evertything it allowed...except bitching :saythat:


Rules
No resetting when flipped on to side/roof ( you may reset when your out of the track
No pitting at all (after the Race is Ok too change your rodding setups :rolleyes2 )

and a gentelmen Rule( you dont have too...but if your on your side you wont get flipped back )

if you see a car on its side/roof then HIT IT! :bump:

Ive attached a setup...wich is decent enough too get some good laps in...thats if you dont get taken out :D

Still not totally convinced about the "flipping other cars back on the wheels" rule, if we are to have a competitive element then I think that once you are on your roof/side you are out of the game, unless you get flipped back over accidentilly.

Thats the idea of bangers, to take the others out whilst trying not to get taken out yourself, and go on the win the race, either by taking everyone else out, or by driving faster than the others ;)

Agreed about the barriers though, maybe if the cars didnt flip over at the slightest touch it wouldnt be a problem :).

Anyone seen using bad language on the banger server will be banned, there is enough foul language in the world today, we dont need it in LFS.

I'm not sure if I have the name right, I believe it's M.Mos, or something close to that, has been running a track that he made utilizing the pits of SO S2, which
is very cool. It's basically an L shaped track.

It is a lot of fun having real walls rather than barriers, and since you dont reach 80 in the pit section, there is no problem. ( or maybe there is no pit limit in the sprint track?).

Anyway, the original BangerRacing track is fun stuff:nana:

i was wondering the same, went on LFS yesterday for the first time in 3 or 4 weeks (BF2 and Counter Strike Source are to blame ;) ) and saw that it wasnt there :(

the vMax banger server has been there for a few months now :)

"vMax.Bangers!" is the name of the server, running our ORIGINAL (i.e. not pinched) Figure-of-8 layout ;)

Ah, is that track still loaded up?? I didn't know that since I have the empty server filter turned to no. That track is a good one. Really interesting stuff when you get someone hitting the jump over your section as you pass underneath. I really haven't seen anyone at any Banger Racing for quite some time. Perhaps the novelty has worn off.

Yup, its still loaded up. Its a shame no-one is Banger Racing. I mean its not as fun, personally, as serious racing, but its a great way to just chill out and have some fun once in a while.

The original Banger Racing server is gone. Why I don't know. That's where everyone always went. Perhaps it was the simplicity of that track that everyone preferred over figure-8's and jumps and whatnot. Perhaps if you could arrange to get the original track for the vmax|Banger server, and make sure you're in it regularly so that it shows up in most peoples server lists, then we could get it going again.

I've just changed it back to the banger layout. If the old Banger Racing server layout is preferred, someone PM me and I'll put it on the server instead (someone will just have to send it to me).

If it switches back to GP again, just let me know.

I always found the larger configurations less fun- warp is worse, rodders get away with more, and there's less crashing and banging potential before it ends up terminal, all due to the higher speeds.

That figure-8 track of Stocky's is beautiful. We had a full house in there and it was action packed. the narrow and small track meant carnage everywhere!!! Always a turn 1 pileup!!! Even people bound and bent on 'hotlapping' rather than getting down and dirty couldn't because there was chaos at every corner.

You put the layout in the "data/layout" folder.

The layout editor can be found by pressing Shift+U in-race. From there you can place objects as well as save, load and clear layouts!
