Both of the add-on categories had a very small number of nominees, but all are of high quality.
(Please note that I did not personally select the nominees for each category. There was a nomination period (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=34740) in which anyone could submit nominations. With a few exceptions, the nominees in these polls were those who received more than one nomination each in the given category. For a full explanation of the process used to select the nominees, look here (http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=35285).)

Hmm, nobody nominated the hi-res tyre textures, which are phenomenal IMO. However, all three would deserve a vote then anyway :thumb:

It depends...
higher res tracks = better pc needed.
better sounds= same pc probably...
Seeing I can't run LFS in high(est available) res I don't know... (I will be getting a nice pc with 8800GT in it soon... (1-2 months)
Although the high res tracks are more visible.

Higher res textures is got to be the best internall add-on.
I can`t imagine how much time and effort he did use to upgrade the textures in game, and it`s looking great. Should be a standar for LFS.

Higher textures, but DaveWS work was also so so important for LFS development.

Which one would you rather pick?
1) Nethack with Mozart's symphonies playing in the background?
2) Crysis running on maximum details but audio would consist of baby hippos being strangled to death by giant rattlesnakes with lasers and hovers instead of rattle-thingies?
I'd personally choose hot lesbians making out but that's just me.

I could live without the hi-res textures but I could never go back to pre patch W sounds. I think people are forgetting the importance of the sounds DaveWS made, it's just a huge difference to patch U/V. Was a great decision from Scawen to include them officially.

I just wanna quickly say I've had a blast mucking around with LFS on the graphics side over the past year and a half, and I'm glad people have gotten something out of it. I never started with the intention of getting so involved, but that's the allure of LFS, right? The community support around the higher res textures has been really fantastic, and was a definite motivating factor to get on with the job. So thanks everyone who posted nice comments on the forum or wrote to me privately etc, your encouragements were really appreciated. Cheers, Ekar
