LFS Community Year-End Awards: Nominations Thread

Hi everyone.

Thanks for looking and hopefully participating in this silly little activity. Hopefully, it'll be fun for all involved.

This is how nominations are going to go down:

Take a look at the list of categories below.
Copy and paste the list into notepad or directly into a new email window.
Make your nominations for each category.
If you don't have an opinion/don't know for something, don't nominate for that category.
This one is really important: DO NOT NOMINATE YOURSELF. DO NOT NOMINATE A LEAGUE YOU ADMIN. DO NOT NOMINATE YOUR OWN TEAM/MOVIE/ADD-ON/SERVER/AVATAR. Such nominations will be disregarded. (Note that you can nominate a teammate for non-team-related activities... i.e., you can nominate a teammate as Most Talented Skinner. Just don't nominate yourself [for an individual award] or your own team [for a team award] or something you yourself produced [for a creative/avatar award].)
Send your nominations via email to LFSAwards07@gmail.com. Please include your LFS username in the email.
DO NOT PUT YOUR NOMINATIONS IN THIS THREAD. They are intended to be private, so as not to sway the general opinion. Nominations left in this thread will be disregarded. Nominations will close at midnight EST on Sunday the 16th of December.

A new thread will be up on Monday with directions for voting from within the pool of (at most, five) nominees for each category.

Just to clarify, this is a two-part process.

Part 1: Nominations

This is the part we're doing now. You guys give me your nominations for each category and I tally them up. For each category, the five picks that have the most nominations (assuming there are at least five nominated) become the candidates for their category in...

Part 2: Voting

In this part, I'll put up either a website or a series of poll threads wherein everyone can vote, picking a single choice from the options listed.

Rationale

1. I'm keeping the nominations private because I don't want early nominations to influence the thoughts of people who nominate later. You should send your nominations in with a clear mind.
2. I'm having a nomination period in order to keep the actual voting period a bit more tidy. There's less work for me to do when there are only a few options per category. This is for my sanity.

Well, there are a few obvious choices.

It's funny, some people are going for the, um, superstar competitive drivers, and some are going for hotlappers.

Both are valid approaches to the category, IMO.

I've been struggling with this all week. There's a few obvious contenders for some of the awards, but i haven't a clue about most of the other categories.

And i can't help thinking there's a few glaring omissions,
Where's the award for the slowest driver in LFS (maybe the only thing i might actually win in this infernal game)
Where's the award for the LFS Whore :scratchch wonder who might win that one.
And where's the 'Tristan Cliffe award for being most like Tristan Cliffe without actually being Tristan Cliffe' award. I really think he deserves something, but i can't fit him in to any of the categories.

Most intimidating forum member ?? With his recent admission of being a Phil Collins fan i just can't bring myself to nominate TC.
Best Avatar ?? they change every month, and i ain't got a hope of remembering an avatar from yesterday let alone 6 months ago.
