Hello, finally ordered a brand new DFP with my own money, worked for it :) :)

What should i expect from it, i am very excited, should come around...next week, will it just plug straight into my PC? USB? or should i have to buy something else, like a PS2/3>USB (PC) convertor?

Thank you so much, i'm so exctied, by the way, it was £69.98 inc. Postage and packaging, did i get ripped off?, by the way, IT WAS BRAND NEW! :)

Plugs into USB. You'll need drivers (which it will come with on a CD, but it's always better to download latest drivers from Logitech). You'll also need a spare power socket, and some space on your desk (for the wheel) and below it (for the pedals).

Other than that, enjoy.

I normally keep the wheels + pedals underneath the desk, and take the wheel out when i wanna play on the weekends :)

You'll really enjoy it, it is a big step up from other wheels (except the G25). However, it will probably take a while to get used to it, especially if you increase the wheel lock.

When you get it use the Profiler software to tailor the FFB settings depending on the game.

Have fun! :)

Oh, almost forgot. I had problems with the G25 when I plugged it into a USB hub (most likely insufficient power) which were resolved when plugging directly into a motherboard USB socket. This may also apply to the DFP, although most likely it was down to a faulty hub on my part.

Did you pay by Paypal E-Cheque? They take ages to clear...

They won't ship it til they have their money - would you expect them to?

Yes. Its a piece of software that lets you make individual controller profiles for each game. Then when you launch the game the DFP settings are applied automatically, saving you having to change them in control panel every time.

The payment can take a while to be processed from a savings account. These accounts don't usually allow instant access to funds and have to be approved before money is withdrawn, hence its not as instant as a debit transaction.

If you want it earlier than that, transfer the money from the savings to your dads account, and get him to pay via a credit/debit card. This way the payment will go through far faster.

My DFP STILL hasn't come....and it even says next day delivery, and i've looked at the guys feedback and everything and it says from people "great service, good postage etc. etc."

Do you think it will come like...8th December when the payment goes through? :(

Harjun, you even said in your first post "it should arrive by early december" and its only the 29th of november, so why are you getting annoyed that it has'nt arrived?

The wheel will be shipped out as soon as the payment clears, so really, it all depends on when the clearment pays.

I actually can't wait, because i've never driven with a FF wheel, apart from MAYBE on one of those rip off arcades at the airport :)

Thanks to those who helped, Ori, hrtburnout, tristan :) :)

"no need to get a bona nathan"

These are the kind of unneeded, childish comments i hate seing from you harjun. I tryed to tell you not to get so aggrovated. You said that it should arrive by xxxx date, yet you get annoyed before you are even close to that date.

I also tried to remind you that they wont send the wheel until the payment has cleared (as tristan clearly pointed out) yet you throw it back in my face.

Cheers,
