lol i know the withdrawl stuff... i stopped playing LFS for almost 4 weeks, because i had other things to do... when i played it after that i felt like a newbie again!

as long as you arent doing it on purpose...
a tip from me... the UF1's give the most fun out of racing (for me anyway) although they are so slow, but it makes the races alot closer! also if you do end up hitting the back of someone or accidently nudging them you have a better chance of causing no damage!:smileypulif you want something slightly quicker the UFGTR/XFGTR is always good fun aswell as long as you can control your throttle well enough to stop the understeer!:schwitz:

Erm no i do not own that car :( Wish i did. It's the brand new Ford Focus ST (SVT for USA...i think) Oh yeah and im only 15 years old so a quick answer would be no...

I've never understood this "slower cars making the races closer" business, especially when applied to the FWDs. A mistake in one of the slower FWDs can usually be recovered so easily that there is barely any lost time, so the faster guys can drive close to the limit with confidence and pull away from the slower guys easier. I did a bunch of UF1 races a couple of weeks back and they weren't noticably closer than any other race I've ever had.

Well, things happen slower so there are far fewer mistakes made (car-to-car contact as well as general cornering mistakes) in the slower cars in the first place (for one thing). Also cars that brake and accelerate less quickly will experience less of the concertina effect- the gaps between cars exiting a corner will remain smaller/closer, compared with a fast car like the FO8 in which the gap (distance) between the cars will be constantly opening and closing by a large amount.
It's partly an illusion, the time differences may not be any smaller, but the distances between cars usually is, and because people make fewer mistakes and have fewer accidents with each other, I've found that it's far more common for 4 or more cars to be racing "closely" for a whole race in the slower cars than in the very fast cars.

That's why I never saw the film, I enjoyed the books far too much, and from what I've heard, the film is absolutely awful.

I actually thought it was quite well cast. And the first half olf the film was quite good actually, at least if you know the book. But on the second half, where it should follow the books plot straightly, it takes one or two sharp bends... from then it looses the entertainment factor of recognising the things from the book and comparing them with your own imagination, which leaves a quite boring experience...
