Considering that the devs can't buy licenses, why not doing a kind of research that let us know which are the kind of cars most used for racing purpouses, and do a kind of copy to add them to the game?. For example: touring cars with xxxx kg and xxxx horsepower to imitate the WTCC, or, sport cars with 1.500 kg/700 cv to imitate the enzo and carrera gt, or 1200 kg 250cv to imitate the gti class road cars, and so on....
Sorry for my english, i did not practice it so much :)

I'd really like an even car class in terms of equal car characteristics.
Equal weight, power, drivetrain, etc.... What we really need.

yeah, dividing cars into class would be a great idea also

I would love to see something like DSC (Dutch Supercar Challenge), where they class cars after a BHP/Weight ratio and have really equal multiclass races for 60 minutes :)
GT:
Minimum weight - 1100kg - 2.5kg/bhp
SuperSport:
Minimum weight - 1025kg - 3.5kg/bhp
Sport:
Minimum weight - none - 5.5kg/bhp
It has proven to be VERY competitive in real life, so I bet it would work fairly well for LFS as well :)

I haven't yet tried making race cars using the new LFSmecanik, but a car weighing around 1000kg with 350-400hp engine and 6 speed gearbox would be very good class in LFS. Enough power to fry the tires but still not too much to allow close racing. Of course with as little dirty air as possible. Hmm, I'll think I'll test something like this today...:thumb:

Seeing as a GT3 car can become a semi-competitive GT2 car with a reprogrammed chip and a few engine tweaks why not allow servers to set some of the car physics?

Actually, I'd still say that we don't need more classes, but more choices within each class. Take the FXR/FZR and add 2-3 more cars, with characteristics close to those and voila - you got a very mixed driver field competing. :)
Same for the tracks - don't implement rallycross when we still need some more street tracks. Adding 2-3 difficult courses and additionally, a few Nordschleife-alikes which are VERY long and VERY difficult will encourage the people to master their skills within a class.
My understanding is that a wide range of cars attracts people for a short time, where as a narrow, but deep range will motivate over a longer time (but attracts less new lfs users).
