INTRODUCTIONThe goal of the 2007 SimRS Rallycross World Series is to create a competitive, team-oriented, international rallycross championship. The World Series will encourage individuals to form teams based on nationality that will battle against similar teams in a multi-round, ladder-based championship. Each event will feature two nations, three heats, and three different car/course combinations. Teams will earn points based on each member's individual performance, and the team that collects the most points will move on to the next round. Registration is REQUIRED to participate in the World Series championship, and teams will be organized on a first-come, first-serve basis. Each team will be allowed to register reserve drivers who may act as replacements before or during an event. Registration information can be found below. The 2007-2007 World Series will begin in mid-to-late December, and will only take a couple of weeks to complete. Specific event scheduling will be handled once the competitor registration deadline has been reached.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE: Sunday, December 2nd 2007

Registration is necessary to participate in the 2007-2008 Rallycross World Series. The championship will be limited to eight teams unless there is significant interest in expanding to sixteen teams. The following information must be given in order for your request to be accepted:

Email Address
GMT Offset (Time Zone)
Real Name
Nationality
Subregion (if applicable)

Please do not submit any registration unless you feel that you'll be able to commit to the entire championship or have another driver who could replace you.

Registration will be handled on a first-come, first-serve basis, thus early registration is suggested. SimRS will not accept any registration application in lieu of another individual.

By submitting a registration application you are confirming that you have read and fully understand all of the information presented in THIS (http://www.simrs.com/worldseries/docs/RALLYXWS_GEN_PROV.pdf) document, and accept the responsibility of reading any future supplementary bulletins.

You'll be able to choose whichever car you want.

I meant to do a small article announcing that registration was up for LFS News over the weekend, but got bogged down by Western Civ I homework. :schwitz:

I'd also like to make another forum banner, and would appreciate it if drivers made the rounds across the more localized LFS boards (typically in languages I have no way of comprehending). :D

I could maybe whip up something. Although I think competitors should use their own skins..etc. Creativity is a good thing in league's I think. Rather than sticking to a colour scheme.

Something similar to the Challenge Cup (http://www.livevideo.com/video/C97E261017C145658DDE613C919DA5C4/challenge-cup-2007-fe2r-highl.aspx) skins are what I had in mind. The only problem is that we'll be using five different cars and would need a consistent theme. I'm not stressing too much about it though, it would just help out making coherent screenshots/videos.

Yep, it would certainly be easier to make a color scheme change only for each country and keep a basic skin layout at the back.

TMNations skins were horrible yes, but they were easy to pick which one was for which country.

The other option is to have just the roof painted in the certain countries flag. That way you get to have whatever skin you like, just with a different roof. Will be good for videos when they get made, although the camera is never constantly pointing at the roof.

Just another thought. :)

If I understood correct you have to drive 3 types of cars (at least)

XFG or XRG (one of these)
and
FXO or XRT (one of these)
and
RB4

...and if there are only 2 finnish guys it could be that we are not going to be driving any cars :schwitz:

I've been playing around with Photoshop and came up with something simple. Not sounding too selfish but I made it for myself unless the other UK drivers like it and want to use it (obviously with names/numbers changed), it's fine by me .

This will be tranfered over to the other 4 cars, being simple it will be easy to do.

i do like it actually as it has the union flag(its not on a boat so its not the union jack athough the rb4 can somethimes be like a boat to drive but thats another story

I'm guessing XenoWolf can't access the internet, and if he had someone else helping him there'd be more chance of it still going ahead.

This is sad, because clearly there were players who wanted to race. :(

It should have been clearly mentioned in what server each race is supposted to be and hosted by whom. Then...this is not only to admins but also racers...if you promise something (list yourself into some event) you should be able to fullfill that promise. I understand that sometimes unexpected things turn up, but then you should inform that as soon as possible - so if a race is postponed admins should report it here. In team races if a racer doesn't show up it can be really bad as the team could be undermanned.
