I am really annoyed :(

I work on sundays from 12-7, then I rush home, shower shave etc and go to the pub quiz from 8-2.

So, I can not make any races :( :pillepall

Any chance of having two leagues, one on a sunday and a tuesday.

So, those who cant make the sunday one can go to the tuesday one and visa versa.

Ofcourse, the tuesday league doesnt have to involve prizes.

Its just that, this is the only demo league in the whole of LFS, and I really wanted to join it. So, please for me and the other racers who cant make it on a sunday. If you cant make another league, why dont you move next months races to a tusday, so it doesnt clash with the F1:smileypul

Just my two pence. I really want to race in this league and cant do so if the races are on a sunday. :sorry:

I am fairly new to LFS. I am a good racer, I just havnt done anything like this...please help.

The server will be called 'LFS Demo League' and you will get the password in a PM tomorrow. You will need to be on the server by 2:45pm BST (we're on BST now, not GMT :)).

@everyone - remember that you do not have to pre-book into these events, so if you try logging on at 3pm and you find the server is full don't be surprised. :) This is unfair and will only be temporary. Next season will be much better organised than this one. :)

One more thing... Although it says in the rules that we are supposed to do single-lap qualis and flying starts we wont. I like to keep things simple so there will be normal free 15min qual and the start procedures of the races are gonna be normal(like you have them in an ordinary server playing online).

Anyway it wasn´t a very good race. Lots of crashes and I think a lot of penaltys should be given but that´s up to Danny.

I restarted the race once because of the total mayhem in turn 1. I attached a replay of that. The other starts were not much better but I decided that there should be no more restarts.

It was my first time to be an admin for a league so sorry I sucked at it.:shy:

Just a note about penalties next season. Next season you will have to appeal after the event via PM with me. You must give full details of the accident (i.e. what lap it was on, which race, who was involved..) within a week of the race. I will then act on it and if I see it is needed I will issue a penalty.

I've had a PM from someone (who will remain anonymous, whether they want to or not) highlighting some drivers who showed full disregard to the no-contact rule so I will review the replay and I will issue penalty points if I see fit. Remember, 3 penalty points and you're banned for the season, no matter where you are in the standings.

Quick question...

I have read the rules, but while I was going through some of my replays, I came across a move I done...when going down the straight at Blackdown Hills, a car came up behind me and I covered my line...he was the forced on to the grass, when he could of eased off, he then went on to the grass and lost control, then he kicked off :pillepall the front of his car wasnt even past my rear wheel, so I assumed it was my "right of way"

if this happens during a race..what happens?
Do I get a penalty point...or does nothing happen.

@The General Lee - if their front wheel is in front of your front wheel then they have right of way, otherwise you do. I guess I should put that in the rules :shrug: And no I'm not going for PHP-Nuke, it's a website I've coded myself, I'm gonna release it sometime when I make an installer for it. :)

I've just watched the 20-lap replay and I've got some penalty points to give out :(

Yujisato managed to get 3 penalty points (PPs) from that race so he won't be taking part in the rest of the season.

I have a PP to confirm and the person will stay anonymous until I confirm it. :)

BoA will also get a warning.


Beware that next season there will be lots and lots of PPs going out unless racing is very clean. I will extend the limit of PPs to 6 next season and I will not hesitate to give them out for bad racing. I will also let you appeal my decision next season but this is NOT guaranteed to work and most of the time it probably won't.

On a lighter note are you all looking forward to the next race? :)

Actually since there was only two racers that showed up I decided to take part too(not competing for points ofcourse) and you already know what happened next. And because I´m lazy I decided to drop the 12 lapper because it´s only meant for establishing the grid and since there was only three of us starting positions really dont matter that much.:shy:

I've started making some bits that must be on your skin next season. They include the new LFS Demo League logo and the race number badge with [noobs] sponsorship :)

AFAIK Sunday is alright for the race. Sorry Niall, maybe next season you'll get more than one race :(

I'm thinking of moving it to a Saturday, it seems to fit people better :shrug: (I'll still run two leagues if we have enough people to get at least 7 in each race)

EDIT: Here's the PSD with the badges and logo which will be required for next season. If you do not have photoshop then please PM me and I will add it to your skin. I have added it to Soki's skin already so you can see where the badges and logo go so you can clear room for it on your skin :)

Just an update on the website - I cannot connect with FTP to the old server so I cannot transfer it to the new server :( I was going to do a major re-work of the website that I'd done so far so maybe this is the best way to do it - start from scratch :shrug:

Sorry, I had totally forgotten about it. Server details will be the same as the last race. Also my family have told me we're going out again sometime later today so the race will be held at 2:00pm BST, an hour earlier. :)

EDIT: The race will start at 4:00pm BST, an hour later.

@Jack Tebbutt - You can enter as a team but the team as a whole will not win anything if they come first, only the driver who comes first will. :)

Are we allowed to edit the design of the badges (if not the exact placement) while keeping the context in our skins? Or do you want us to use that particular badge? It just seems kinda, plain :x. No offense intended. Plus with stretching it looks like it will be realllllly wide...

And it looks like I slept in too late again to make the demo league. Oops. :( I'll have to commit for next season. Hopefully.

I need your help! :) I am planning to make both a season review and a season preview for next year and I need you to do some replay-watching for me.

For the season review I would like you to find some good action from each race, not necessarily crashes but good, tight racing. I also need someone to do a little bit of commentating, but it is not needed if I can't find anybody. :)

For the season preview I would like you to find your 3 most memorable moments from the season. I would also like you to find some examples of good, tight racing, with it occasionaly going wrong. :)

Please PM the exact session, the exact lap and the people involved to me and I should add it in to one, or both, of the movies :)

P.S. I'm open to suggestions on music to accompany the season (p)review. :)

the league is coming back for a second season. I'm currently working on the website and in the next couple of months I will gather some people to help organise it.

So just be patient and wait, I'm hoping for it to start again in February 2007 :)
