cant hear anything while racing

So i have the s2 demo... i am running it on my new laptop which as vista...

I have a great computer.. Graphics are great.. i can hear the intro music and everything at the menu... i can hear music while im racing too but i cant hear the car sound...

basically... when im racing, i cant hear anything but the music. any helP?

Have you looked at the audio options?
Maybe you just have the car volum very low, so it would not be possible to hear?

No No trust me i ran the demo on 2 computers.. one computer has speakers i bought and the laptop has built in speakers..

I ran them at the same time and set the settings on the same.. so what ever happend to the computer i can hear things with has to happen to the other..

but i still get the same problem..

PLEASE HELP! I BEEN PLAYING THE GAME FOR WEEKS WITHOUT SOUND.....!!!! thought id finally speak up..


will re-installing it help? or is there some sound patch?

Do you have the latest version? I believe patch V was the one that introduced full Vista sound support

Have you tryed LFS without running anything else in the background, Vista's sound mixer could be giving the music a higher volume.

i downloaded the x patch for the pc... havent download any patches yet for the laptop.. Ill see.
