I paid 30 euros at service centre to find out the code.

What a great waste of money for 4 numbers. I wish i knew this site at that time.

Doesn't that make nicking car radios a profitable sideline again?

If your gonna nick a radio, I think finding the code for it isnt going to be a problem. My local volvo dealership gave me my code for free, thing is I need it again and cant remember what it is! And Im too lazy to go back.
Thanks for the link  nice find :)

I think this site is not the reason for someone to stole a radio.
There are some cars dealers who can give the code for free,if you are lucky, but it takes too much time. This forum is an alternative way:)

It begs the question, why bother to have a code? Beats me.

Well my english are not so good but i 'll make an effort to explain...
If u discconect your car radio and u want to reconnect it,you have to insert this safety 4 number code to play again, which only the car owner knows...
If someone stoles it from you would be useless for him!
I post this forum in case you have lost the code :D
