Have you unpacked the file to your LFS folder? You are not trying to run lfs from the zip file?

You have a windows operating system don't you? :)

I'm afraid to ask, but could you be more specific please? Maybe you could tell us all the steps, from when you downloaded lfs to when it says invalid command line.

Just a guess. You said: "ive downloaded it bfor and it worked fine i re downloaded it and now it says this". Maybe you click on the old icon on the desktop... Make a screenshot of the message (click into the window with the message, press Alt-PrintScreen, open some drawing program (e.g. ms paint) and press Ctrl-V. Save as JPG, then post as attachement here).

I tryed different ways to run lfs in win xp and I never get that error (I manage to get other errors but not that). So do you have XP, Vista or what? Where does it show that message? In a dialog box?

You've not been making shortcuts by any chance? Because that's usually the "error" you get, if you cock it up.

If the file the shortcut is pointing to is missing, you get a dialog box saying something like: "Windows is trying to locate: lfs.exe ...blaah blaah" with a flashlight. Nothing about an invalid command line at least for me.

In Xp there seems to be some sort of an instant shortcut fix system. If you rename files or folders which are used in a shortcut it magically fixes the shortcuts without you even noticing it.

Proof attached.

Oh, yeah. That's true.

I got sort of impression he gets it from Windows. So he must have handedited the shortcut himself. If that is the reason it makes me wonder what parameter is he trying to give if it worked before. :scratchch
