Finding this is great, servers that require skill means fewer wrecks and no crazy kicks either, reminds me of old papy sims with servers of certain skill levels or higher. ctra seems like a great thing, so I'm in!

So there are three licenses for different types of driving, I assume the points differ from each. I saw the points only for the bumping stuff but not the others. It may be right in front of me but alas I can't find the info.

looking forward to some clean racing, woohoo.

Yep, the licences are all separated. You can find out lots of information on the CTRA website, www.raceauthority.com (http://www.raceauthority.com) :)

Yes I read all I could on the site, just couldn't find any details on how points add up there. I suppose I will figure it out as I go, but was curious.

We've never posted the algorythm, it's actually quite complex with several pages of source code and takes into account a lot of factors. The system has been changed and tweaked gradually over time too so anything published would go out of date, and indeed some further changes are planned.

also, I presume, by not posting it, to a degree stops it being manipulated by people to their advantage.......

Ah ok I thought it was kind of like race points, so much for leading, winning etc, but sounds like it's a bit more involved.

Basically there are a few things that need to happen, in order to start scoring points on the CTRA. Firstly, you need to place highly at the end of the race - at the very least, you need to be on the same lap as the winner at the end of the race. If you finish a lap down, you shouldn't expect to earn points. Secondly, you must manage to be in spitting distance of the lap record. This is often more difficult to achieve, and requires practice and skill. Skill comes with practice, and everyone who wants it can do it.

There are lots of other factors involved in collecting a big fistful of points, but the most important thing to remember is that if you can race well enough to earn points on the CTRA, you'll be able to hold your own on any other decent server too. :)

Sam, the same lap thing is only in B&J, you can finish a lap down in the Race servers and still score points.
