not like that...in the unofficial addons sections is a thread "Analogue Gauges" with what u can have "Custom Gauges" but theyre are only a overlay.
the original gauges cant be altered.

I had a think about doing this when and if I make a driving booth. I also considered building a motion platform. I just need to win the lottery now.

short stupid question:

Is it possible to disable the gauges (speed, gear, rpm, fuel) not to see them? (Patch Z)

I couldnt find any option in LFS, only "Virtual steering gauge". If i set it to no, the gauges are displayed in the middle of the screen, with yes there are splitting to the left and to the right.

I've just thought about something, what with the new guages surround. What would happen if you put your custom guages over the Alpha part?
