View Full Version : LFS Unofficial Add-ons Database

Here is a comprehensive list of LFS add-on's. In most instances I will give a direct link and thread ;).
If there are any additions please feel free to post them, It would be helpful if you could post the link too. I hope this helps, pretty simple, but someone has to do it.
Please note, I feel that these are the most important/significant ones to have been released so far, so the list doesn't include every single mod, please use your judgement to whether it's worth nominating a site to be added.

Don and Kid's (I think) he-res skies are worth a mention I think...
As for software, perhaps LFS Stats <delete> and LFS Spectator (two I use).</delete>
You already have LFS Spectator...
What about FuelControl Online? That's useful too :D

the hi res skies are very good. i think it should be added too. also, it might be worth deviding the original post to sections of enhanced-textures (sky/desert/smoke/wheel/etc), "etensions" (i.e. pitspotter which is excellent), notifiers and external viewers, etc.

Sorry typing error - Now corrected.
The thing is whatever I do, people are going to want it another way. Some of the Mod's like the SnowMod etc only have thread's and aren't linked to a direct site. The site's they use for hosting are like filefactory. I'm trying to give credit to the user, but just some of it I don't know myself. Like I said keep coming with the suggestions. The mod's can edit my post to add stuff, change stuff as long as the community can have a central source instead of every single person having to try and find stuff over and over again.

fuelcontrol, the windows app, is old and usually for the S2 Alpha Demo...
there are only BL GP and the demo cars in it...
so, maybe deleting it and only heaving FuelControl-Online in the list is better, because it handles ALL cars and tracks!

There isn't one :( . If it it had all the bells and whistles the real-life driftbox had it would be useful. Although I would use them more than the drifting. I try and stay within the tyre's capability. Driftbox also acts as a telementry, 0-60, 0-100-0, etc. etc.

quick question...
is it possible to make f1perfview or Analyse4speed work like the analyser does in gran turismo? what i mean is... in GT the, the analyser runs with both cars at the same speed so its easier to see the differences between cornering speeds.
if i start the replay... even if replay b finnishes 5 seconds faster than replay a... both will show up in the same spot on the analyser 30 seconds into the lap but the telemetry data will show the different speeds the cars are going. does that make any sense?:shy:
like for the track distances to be the synched... is it possible to do that?

Not to spam, but is there any place in particular where I can suggest/request certain mods? Some friends of mine like to do races where you need to wait a little while before you start, and I was looking for a mod where you can set how long they have to wait and give a countdown for them. That way it's exact, and not off by any amount.
For example, say a UF1 gets a 3-2-1 countdown, and starts. When the UF1 is at 3, a BF1 for example sees a 34. Then when the UF1 sees 2, the BF1 sees 33. etc. When the counter reaches 1 for the BF1, it will let him start. Understand?
If you guys know a better place for me to post this, please tell me. >_<

Is there a tool for converting current outsim packets into "older" packets in real time? this way I think Kegetys tools will still work. Such a shame to see wonderfull tools like ghostcar and pitspotter dissapear into oblivion...
Maybe even Scawen could (well.. the real q is whether or not he would) add such a "compatibility" proxy for older apps.
If anyone's interested, I've opened a thread in the programming section ( http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?p=684425 ) to discuss it.

I've just downloaded it, heres the address http://www.clue-by-4.org/projects/LPH/LPH-2.0.1.2.exeIf you still can't download it, I'd be happy to send it to you over msn or xfire or even upload it here if thats possible...

Lapper4 , is not into that post and is one of the most researched insim addons.
If this thread is not maintained , why moderator don't UNPIN it, so a new comer don't think this is official list, and become lost since they don't found lapper.
I use lapper as example here, since i had my self this problem when i first come here searching for the lapper program.

I think it is not possible due limited insim possibilities.

InSim allows 8 apps on one port. Problem is with hooking - LFS, of course, would hook only one d3d8.dll. You can inject DLL manually using any generic DLL injector.

I've unstuck this thread because most of the links appear to have become invalid. I guess it's time for a new one.

Hello,
I can, if only nobody want to do this, manage the new unofficial add-on database. But i think, it's better that a non developper user do that!

No some programm are obsolete too in this database. No up to date!!
I think it's important to have this section in official forum.

I agree with you, but on lfs-database creator of every application/modification can update it.
I think it's too much work for 1/2/3 people to work all the time on keeping things up to date.
Also I think LFS-database is more functional then a forum post and link can be added on top with "LFS Main Site", "LFS World" etc.
Edit: I don't mean to delete this section of forum. This is a must have, just a optional download place with most of the stuff in one place.
There should be a way on LFS-database to add links to a thread on a forum or something.

The thing with 3rd party sites, is that they can just disappear - Like the LFS Skins Database. Files hosted on 'one-click' download sites suffer the same fate.
If things are uploaded as attachments here on the forum, then they are here for good (or until the forum crashes, but I trust Vic has taken care of backups). Moderators can remove outdated ones as well.

Valid points there :)
Then maybe it would be good to create an moderator group (like section owners in Leagues and events sub forum),
not to put too much work on existing admins.
I don't know if those "moderators" should be voted for by Scavier, admins or whole community?

I'm able to keep on top of the misc addons sticky pretty well. I can start a new one here, working on the same basis - i.e. a very short list, linking only to forum threads (as they won't go wrong, and then it's up to the OP of that thread to fix links as required), which is expanded by people posting additions.
In fact, I have: http://www.lfsforum.net/showthread.php?t=58477

Is there a valid "ghost car" mod?
I think it'll be useful to improve my lap times.
I see that the one in the first post is outdated,as i expected.:(
