LOL, this is going to hit Norfolk hard if no-one buys any Turkeys this year. what will you all do?

Radio interview the other week with some woman talking about bird flu.
"Well i won't be eating any more eggs" she says.
"You can't be too careful, and I've my grandson to think of."

WTF?!
Ignorance is not always bliss.

Apparently if you want to catch bird flu by eating (like everyone does..) you can't. You would have to actually split the bird open, dry out the carcus for a few days then sniff the inside. Not quite the no.1 thing I was planning to do for Christmas, comes a close second tho.

I just hope Donald Duck doesn't get affected otherwise I don't know if I could carry on.

Happy Birthday Al :)

I think bird flu is all a lie anyway. Did you see that news footage of blokes in masks putting ducks in a bin? The ducks looked fine! I swear it's just some scientists thought it would be funny to put ducks in a bin, and to be fair they were right, I coudn't help laughing.

:really:

Happy b-day Al :static:

You would have to actually split the bird open

Check.

dry out the carcus for a few days

Check.

then sniff the inside.

Wait, wait, wait. A simple sniff is okay? Or should we go for a full snort? Or should we put it in a paper bag and inhale?

Smoking it or making tea is not an option?

... this is complicated. :(

EDIT:
Oh yeah, happy bday Al!

Aye, but if you didn't even know about bird flu then you'd be happy. Right?

Who cares of the turkeys have bird flu... if you cook it properly you wont catch it anyway. Plus I don't see what all the fuss is about. I bet they will say it spreads like AIDS. Some guy secked up a munkey...

But if you look at the migration patterns. None of the birds fly anywhere near England. Just close our ports to Europe/Rest of the world, and we will be fine :)

But don't you love media paranoia. A few weeks ago ITV was saying a Human in England had died from birdflu... all that has died in England was some pariot from South America which they think got BF in quarintine... go figure :P
