I hope this is the right place for a thread like this:

* No visible post count to prevent spamming.
* No visible join date to prevent bullying.
* Same visual style as the official LFS site.

I bet more LFS World integration will follow as well (I hope).

i personally have no problems with the first two suggestions (i mean, i don't fear the abuse as much as you do). Join date is relative anyway, because people may have been around much longer than this date indicates.

style and more lfsworld integration will follow. We had the choice 1) put up the forum now and add thingies later, or 2) do not put the forum online until all that's been done.

lol, if it was, I suspect that it would've had a publisher and that it would've gone under the crunch for a few weeks, been shipped and then patched several times giving us a by far substandard sim - in under 2 years :p

How about integrating the forum to the LFS site?
So when you are viewing the forums you still got the menu to the left or right?

The trouble with that is that, for a forum, you really do need a full screen. With a bar on the left it would be hard to post pictures etc. But they could make a menu for the top of the screen, in the same style as the lfs website.

A longer session timeout would be nice, not sure if that's the correct term for it but I always seem to spend too long reading or replying to a thread and lose all the last post read information. So I have no idea what I've read already.

Can I suggest a 'Replays' sub-forum under 'Media'. I dig watching cool race replays, but not many people are posting 'em.

My thread in General LFS discussion (forumdisplay.php?f=2) to post replays was not successful! :D
